When Gary returned to the Zimmer Residence at 11:00 p.m., Fiona told him about how Cassia had taken Sterling away.
“She’s got some nerves!” Gary said angrily, his face turning dark.
“Cassia must have talked Peter into this. Otherwise, Peter would never do something so ridiculous. I’m calling Peter right now and telling him not to listen to Cassia,” Fiona said as she took out her phone.
“Forget it,” Gary said.
Fiona didn’t understand and looked at Gary, confused.
“Calling Dad now won’t help. I don’t even know what’s going on with Sterling, and he only listens to Cassia. Even if Dad agrees, with Sterling’s condition, can you really drag him back by force?” Gary said as he lit a cigarette.
“So, we’re just going to leave it like this?” Fiona realized that Gary’s thoughts were similar to Ethan’s.
Gary blew out a puff of smoke and continued, “Isn’t Cassia supposed to be so capable? Then let her try treating him.”
“But Dad trusts her so much. What if she really cures Sterling?” Fiona asked.
“If she cures him, that works in our favor. If she can’t, then we’ll have even more reason to sue her!”
A cold smile appeared on Gary’s face. “No matter what, we won’t lose.”
He had hated Cassia for a long time, so this was the perfect chance to teach her a painful lesson.
“You’re right. Haha,” Fiona laughed along with him.
By early morning, Cassia still had not brought Serling back to Wood Manor.
Just as Vance was running out of patience, Cassia pushed the door open and walked in.
That brat finally came back!
Vance looked past Cassia, searching behind her, but he did not see Sterling.

Chapter 224 She’s Back
“Where’s Sterling?” Vance asked nervously.
“This place isn’t suitable for him,” Cassia said as she went upstairs toward her room.

Wood Manor was just as toxic as the Zimmer Residence, so she would never bring Sterling back.
To treat Sterling, she decided to temporarily move to Dunstino Bay, where Draven had given her a house.
“Where are you going? You’re not staying at home anymore?” Vance frowned when he saw Cassia pulling her suitcase downstairs. “If you’re not living here, where are you taking Sterling to live? Are you renting a place?”
“I’ve made my own arrangements,” Cassia replied.
Her tone was arrogant.
Vance was once again furious.
“You said it yourself. Don’t come crying back to me later!” he snapped.
Vance cursed angrily, but Cassia completely ignored him. She pulled her suitcase and walked straight out of Wood Manor.
Vance slammed the coffee table hard. Hearing the noise, Geneva came out of the bedroom and asked, “What happened? Is Cassia back?”
“She’s back!” Vance replied angrily.
Geneva looked around the living room but did not see Cassia or Sterling.
“Where are they?” she asked.
“They left!” Vance said.
“Left?” Geneva froze and quickly asked, “What happened?”
“Your daughter is really something! She said she taking Sterling out to rent a place. She just dragged her suitcase and left!” Vance said angrily
“What? Cassia is probably doing this for the child’s sake. After all, our house is crowded. As long as we give them ten thousand dollars a month for support…” Geneva said.
“If we give them money, won’t that just make them more arrogant?” Vance snapped. He did not want to give Cassia any money at all.

He continued angrily, “It’s not that I look down on her, but she can’t even support herself. How could she afford to support Sterling? And don’t you secretly give them money out of pity. Once they run out of money and can’t survive, they’ll come back on their own.”
Geneva felt that Vance had a point.
“But I heard Cassia still has some money on hand,” Geneva said.
She remembered the extremely expensive pills in Cassia’s room.
“She has money? Even if she does, it’s not hers! And besides, can living outside really be better than staying here? Life out there is much harder than they imagine. Rent, utilities, everything has to be handled by yourself. How long do you think she can last?” Vance sneered.
“Even if Cassia can endure hardship, how could sterling, that pampered boy, handle it? Just eating slightly worse food would be enough. Sterling probably wouldn’t dare follow Cassia anymore after that!”
In the days that followed, Cassia and Sterling lived together in the house at Dunstino Bay. Whenever Cassia had free time, she would go to Sterling’s room and keep him company.
Neither the Zimmers nor the Woods disturbed them. Cassia and Sterling lived freely and comfortably.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, New Year’s was approaching.
Today was New Year’s Eve, the biggest celebration of the year.
When Cassia returned from outside, Sterling heard the sound of the door opening and came out of his room. Without saying a word, he went to the door to take out slippers for her, then went to pour her a glass of water.
Cassia sat on the couch and watched the considerate Sterling with a smile on her lips.
“You don’t need to try so hard to please me. And tonight, you don’t need to go back to the Zimmer Residence either.”
