Cassia had no choice but to hand over the key to her house in Dunstino Bay to Draven.
That was how he ended up opening the door for her again.
Cassia took a step back and looked up at the house unit number outside.
This was clearly her home. There was no doubt about that. But lately, Draven had been the one opening the door so often that it felt like she was walking into someone else’s place.
“You just got home?” Draven asked casually. He bent down, took a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet, and placed them neatly by Cassia’s feet.
To Cassia, that move screamed homeowner.
“Thanks,” she said.
She slipped on the slippers, walked inside, went straight to her bedroom, and closed the door.
Draven waited on the living room couch for a while. Soon, Cassia came back out with a crossbody bag slung over her shoulder.
She stopped at the entryway and changed her shoes.
“Going to give Sterling therapy?” Draven asked.
“Yeah.”
“Perfect. Seven wants to come along too,” Draven said, glancing at Seven, who looked way too excited.
“That’s fine.”
Great. I could finally see the famous Dr. Mary in action.
Draven and Seven followed Cassia to Sterling’s om.
The moment the door to the hallway opened, Seven rushed ahead of Cassia and stopped right in front of Sterling’s door.
He knocked eagerly.

“Hey, buddy, open up! I brought you something fun,” Seven called out. “Look–a Rubik’s Cube! And a baby rattle!”
As he spoke, Seven even shook the rattle in his hand. Thunk, thunk, thunk.
Cassia’s mouth twitched slightly.
At that moment, she strongly felt that the one who needed therapy wasn’t Sterling. It was Seven.
While she was thinking that, Cassia had already walked up to Sterling’s door.
She lifted her foot and kicked the door twice.
The door opened. She walked right in.
Seven stood there, completely stunned.
He had tried everything just now–talking nicely coaxing, and even begging. Sterling hadn’t opened the door once. But Cassia had only kicked the door twice, and Sterling opened it for her.
Seven silently took note of it. Next time, he would do the same thing. Two kicks.
As soon as Cassia went inside, Seven could not hold it in any longer. He turned to Draven at once. “Mr. Grey, didn’t you tell me Dr. Mary is coming today to see Sterling? Why did Ms. Wood go in instead?”
During Christmas Eve’s dinner, he had clearly heard his boss tell Cassia that Dr. Mary would be invited over.
Draven sat quietly to the side. His eyes stayed on the closed door. He tilted his chin slightly toward the room.
“What?!” Seven’s
eyes flew open. “Mr. Grey, you mean-”
He snapped his head toward the tightly shut door.
“Ms. Wood is Dr. Mary?!”
“Yes,” Draven replied.
“But from what I know, Dr. Mary stopped seeing patients because of personal matters. And she’s supposed to be overseas…”
What Seven really meant was this. I know Ms. Wood is amazing, but no matter how amazing she is, she can’t be Dr. Mary, who’s currently in Montavia, right?

Draven’s gaze darkened.
Seven could tell that Draven himself had doubts too.

“Hmm, should we crack the door open and take a look?” Seven whispered, pointing at the door.
Draven frowned slightly.
Spying was not something a gentleman should do.
But he was curious. Very curious.
Seeing the subtle change in Draven’s expression, Seven stuck out his tongue and complained silently. You want to see even more than I do. You always want one thing and do another!
Seven tiptoed to Sterling’s door.
It was not locked. He carefully turned the handle and opened it just a small crack.
He squinted and peeked inside.
The room was dark. The only light came from a desk lamp on Sterling’s table.
Cassia stood with her back to the door. The lamp cast a soft glow around her figure.
