The guy was sharp. He knew exactly how player thought, and that was how he made a fortune.
Draven knew that even if he tried again, it would be pointless. In the end, he would still fail by just one shot.
This guy had plenty of tricks up his sleeve. No one who played his game would ever win the grand prize. Only he would keep collecting money.
Just as Draven was about to hand the air rifle back to the booth runner and say he was done, a clear, pleasant voice rang out.
“I’ll do it.”
“Hey, you need to get in line,” the student in change said.
“I’m with him,” Cassia said. As she spoke, she took the air rifle from Draven’s hands and stepped a few feet away from the balloons.
She knows how to shoot?
Draven tilted his head slightly, his gaze lingering on Cassia with curiosity and interest.
Cassia held the air rifle in her right hand, her index finger resting on the trigger. Her left hand was casually tucked into her pocket. The muzzle pointed toward the balloons on the backdrop.
Come on. That’s a rifle, not a handgun.
The booth runner and the crowd couldn’t help laughing.
Compared to Draven’s perfect shooting stance earlier, Cassia’s posture looked completely
wrong,
It was worse than amateur level. She wasn’t even holding the rifle properly. How could she possibly hit anything?
“Well… Ms. Wood’s shooting stance is definitely unique,” Seven said, feeling secondhand embarrassment.
Draven’s brows drew together slightly.
Can Cassia really shoot?

Just as everyone was convinced Cassia was about to embarrass herself, a sharp pop sounded. A balloon burst.
The crowd froze.
Was that a joke? She fired one casual shot and actually hit it?
Cassia pulled the bolt, aimed again, and fired.
Pop. Another balloon burst.
The crowd gasped.
The booth runner couldn’t believe it. He walked up to the backdrop, waved his hand around, and checked the area around the two popped balloons.
There was no wind, no sharp objects nearby. Did she really shoot them?
Everyone was stunned.
Seven and Draven were frozen too, though Draven at least didn’t gape like Seven did.
Cassia looked at the booth runner and said, “Do whatever tricks you want. I’ll take 50 shots and pop 50 balloons in one go. If I miss even once, I’ll give you 50 dollars. If I hit all 50, you give me the bear.”
As soon as she said that, the crowd exploded.
The booth runner felt like she was openly challenging him.
“Careful with the big talk, kid. With this many people watching, it’ll be embarrassing when you get slapped in the face later.”
He didn’t believe she could actually do it.
Even Sahar’s special forces sharpshooters wouldn’t dare make a promise like that. She was just an 18–year–old high school girl. Where did she get that kind of confidence?
“Enough talking. Do you dare to bet or not?” Casia said.
Her expression looked smug and cocky, and to them, extremely punchable.
“Fine. I’ll take the bet,” the booth runner said. He refused to believe his tricks wouldn’t be enough to deal with one girl.

He replaced the backdrop with a new set of balloons. This time, the balloon material was thicker and much harder to pop.
He removed the hard board behind the cloth. Without the support, even a light breeze made the entire backdrop sway, making it much harder to hit.
He used every possible method to reduce the hit rate. And after every shot Cassia fired, he personally pulled the bolt himself.
After 10 minutes of preparation, the booth runner clapped his hands. “All right. Let’s see your performance.”
