What made it even more humiliating was that Cassia hit a balloon with every single shot. She had not missed once.
This… is she even human? This is god–level.
As more and more balloons burst, the booth runner felt like every shot was slapping him across the face.
Five minutes later, the 50th balloon burst.
No misses.
Cassia placed the air rifle on the table and looked at the booth runner, who had already gone completely stiff.
“You lost.”
The crowd fell silent. A minute later, cheers and applause exploded.
Cassia was unimpressed by the applause. She simply pointed at the giant teddy bear piled nearby.
“A deal’s a deal.”
The booth runner slowly snapped out of it. With his head hanging low and extreme reluctance, he handed the giant teddy bear over to Cassia.
The crowd was filled with envy.
Cassia and Draven strolled to a small pond surrounded by dense trees.
“You didn’t actually need to step in. If you liked it, I could’ve bought you one every day,” Draven said.
“Wasn’t it you who wanted it?” Cassia asked.
Seeing how seriously Draven had been shooting earlier, she had assumed he liked the bear.
They both froze for a moment.
Draven stared at the Pikachu plush in his hand without speaking. Cassia stared at it too.

A second later, realization dawned on them at the same time. They smiled at each other, but both of their faces flushed red, and they instinctively looked away.
Cassia had only stepped in because she saw how badly Draven wanted the teddy bear and couldn’t stand watching him get cheated.
Draven had only thought the teddy bear suited Cassia and wanted to give it to her.
They had both done it for each other.
Seven hid behind a tree. He glanced at the giant teddy bear being hauled away by the truck Draven had called, then looked back at the two of them, who had just realized their feelings and were now shyly avoiding eye contact.
Just keep spoiling each other, why don’t you.
Today’s sweetness level was way over the limit.
Ugh.
Suddenly, Cassia received a call from Sacha asking her to come backstage.
“Perfect timing. The Spring Gala performances are about to start. Let’s go watch,” Draven suggested.
“Okay.”
They walked side by side toward the auditorium stage.
Draven went to the audience seating first, while Cassia headed backstage.
She carried a bottle of Gatorade that a girl from her class had asked her to bring to Sacha.
“Thanks,” Sacha said as she took it from Cassia and drank several big gulps.
“Why did you call me over?” Cassia asked calmly Her expression was cool and composed, with a faint air of authority, though her cheeks still carried warmth from earlier by the pond.
Sacha felt that Cassia seemed different right now
She set the bottle aside. “There’s a part I never seem to get right. Can you listen and help me out?”
The classmate helping Sacha with her makeup, Jade Sosa, thought she had misheard.
“You want Cassia to help you? You don’t seriously think she can sing, do you?” Jade’s voice was a little loud. Others overheard. Some tried to hold back laughter, while others laughed

“If you don’t know the situation, can you stop making assumptions about people? How do you know Cassia can’t sing?” Sacha suddenly stood up, surprising even herself.
“Sacha, no need to get so worked up, we don’t mean anything by it. Besides, Cassia’s never sung in front of us,” Jade said.
“Just because she hasn’t sung in front of you doesn’t mean she can’t sing. Even Danica said Cassia sings well,” Sacha shot back.
“Seeing is believing. Since none of us have heard her sing, of course we’re going to doubt it,” Jade said mockingly.
“Haha…”
At that moment, Rosalie walked backstage.
“Well, to be blunt, you’re not exactly close enough to Cassia for her to owe you a performance,” Rosalie said with a light laugh. Her words left Jade and the others speechless.
Rosalie had come to check on Sacha before her performance. She hadn’t expected to walk in on them teaming up to bad–mouth Sacha and Cassia.
She was not about to be polite about it.
Jade’s expression darkened, and the others looked no better.
“Ahem,” Jade cleared her throat, trying to ease the awkwardness.
“Rosalie, we know you’ve been close to Cassia lately, but you’re the class president. You can’t always take Cassia’s side, can you?” she said.
The other girls echoed her agreement. “Yeah, exactly.”
Rosalie took after her father and had a naturally upright, honest–looking face.
Not just in looks, but in the way she carried herself. She was straightforward and fair, the kind of person people respected.
“I’m not speaking for Cassia, and I’m not favoring her or targeting you, I’m just saying this honestly. Whether in public or in private, Cassia has never once said a single bad word about any of you to me or Sacha. That alone shows her character, Rosalie said firmly.
Her words landed solidly, one after another.
