“I already called in for you. You don’t need to go to tomorrow’s city volleyball tournament.”
Cassia glanced at her arm wrapped in bandages.
There was no way she could play volleyball like this tomorrow.
But not following through on her word just wast her style.
“No need. I’ll be fine after a good night’s sleep.”
For once, a slight crease appeared between Draven’s brows.
“Don’t push yourself. The doctor said it’ll take at least a week for you to heal.”
“I’m a miracle healer, remember? If I say I’m fine, then I’m fine.” Cassia lifted her chin, her gaze firm as she looked at Draven.
What a stubborn girl.
Draven could see it. Once Cassia set her mind on something, there was no changing it. Nothing could stop her.
If she didn’t get her way, no amount of money could make her happy.
He’d rather just let her be happy.
So Draven could only shake his head, a little helpless. “Alright, I get it. Just get some rest, then. I’ll take you to the tournament tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
Cassia smiled, and her body on the hospital bed seemed to relax. She closed her eyes again and quickly fell asleep.
For a while, Draven watched her sleep, her expression so gentle and peaceful. Then, he leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
He wondered how this stubborn girl managed to capture his heart completely,
I have to admit, I feel bad for taking advantage of her while she was down, but I just couldn’t help myself.
Seven, standing off to the side, couldn’t help but purse his lips.

Seriously, do they think I’m invisible?

After following Draven out of the VIP hospital room, Seven couldn’t resist asking, “Mr. Grey, what’s going on here? Weren’t we supposed to be tracking C? How did it turn into Ms. Wood and that fake Brie?”
There was another important thing besides Cassia’s volleyball tournament tomorrow.
“Brie… I don’t think she could possibly be C. If she is, I’d have no respect for her. But if it’s not Brie… Seven glanced at the door to the hospital room. “It’s Ms. Wood, then?”
Seven’s voice was a bit too loud, and Draven’s face turned slightly dark.
Seeing that, Seven quickly covered his mouth and looked back at the door.
“By the way, the last time we got a lead on C was at Lennox Hotel. But when we rushed over, there was nobody suspicious like C there.”
Draven stood at the window at the end of the hospital hallway, his face unreadable.
Cassia’s insistence on playing with her injury really weighed on his mind, and the fact that the hacker “C” who broke into Grey Group turned out to be Cassia frustrated him even more.
With both issues weighing on him at once, Draven felt increasingly parched and irritable.
Even managing dozens of family companies had never gotten him this worked up. At most, he’d just feel like having a cigarette.
He reached into his pocket for cigarettes and a lighter.
There was nothing there.
Seven took out his own pack and offered Draven a cigarette.
Draven recognized the brand. It was the same pack he’d tossed in Cassia’s trash last time.
Even the lighter in Seven’s hand was his.
He remembered throwing that away, too.
When Draven hesitated to take the cigarette, Seven said, “Don’t worry, Ms. Wood is out cold in there. She won’t wake up any time soon. Just have one.”
Years of smoking wouldn’t let someone quit overnight.
Draven’s brow knitted, but he forced himself not to take one.

“Put them away, or I’ll toss them out the window
Seven’s mouth twitched.
They were on the third floor. If he threw them down, what if it hit someone?

“I’ll put them away. Don’t get worked up, Mr. Grey. Tossing things out the window isn’t right.”
After stashing the cigarettes and lighter, Seven picked up where they left off. “Mr. Grey, what are you thinking?”
Draven knew he was asking about Cassia possibly being C.
But honestly, whether Cassia was “C” didn’t really matter. The hacking hadn’t done any real damage to Grey Group.
What really bothered him was tomorrow’s volleyball tournament.
Cassia’s arm was hurt badly, and she still wanted to play.
She’d be in pain, and she might even end up with a lasting injury.
The thought just made Draven’s face tense up even more.
“Mr. Grey?”
Seven watched his boss’s expression, and it was the first time he’d seen Draven look this grim.
Draven’s face stayed tight for a while, then his chest rose and fell.
“Gather the hospital’s best surgeons. I want them all at Zrario Sports Center tomorrow.”
