Chapter 331 Melting
Co dubout
As the thought crossed her mind, Brie’s eyes flicked to the lower right corner of the painting. There was a signature. And a date.
signature was messy–hard to read—but the date was recent.
And the name…
It looked familiar. Almost like “Jayden.”
Her heart jumped. Brie grabbed her phone and searched for Impression Goddess by Jayden Alvarez.
When the image came up, she zoomed in on the corner.
There it is. Jayden!
She enlarged the signature as much as she could, then leaned over the painting on her desk and compared the two side by side.

The more she looked, the more alike they seemed.
Her breath caught. She stumbled back a few steps.
This can’t be real…
How could Jayden’s real work be sold online? Even Impression Goddess had been bought at an art auction for over a hundred million.
If this painting is real, then there’s only one answer-
Does Cassia know Jayden?!
No way.
Brie opened the browser and searched Jayden’s name again.
Age: unknown. Background: unknown. Height: unknown. Everything about him was a mystery. Only ten works have been listed so far.
She scrolled through all of them. None matched the painting in her hands.
Fake?
Brie dropped into her chair and rolled her eyes at the painting.
Seriously. She’d scared herself for nothing. Just a fake.
A moment later, she frowned and looked at her phone again.

Jayden Alvarez was a Montavian.
she should’ve realized it soonet. Cassia grew up in a small–town orphanage. She’d never even been abroad. How could she know a world–famous artist like Jayden?
Bric glanced at the painting again. It really did look too much like Impression Goddess. Even if it was a copy, it had to be worth something.
With that thought, she picked up the painting and headed out–forgetting all about lunch.
“Bric, where are you going?” Danica called after her.
I’ve got something to do,” Brie said. She didn’t explain further.
She didn’t waste a second and headed straight for the antique market and made her way to its largest shop -Retro Revival.
Retro Revival wasn’t just the biggest storean Zroria’s antique market. It was also the most famous.
Brie was young, but the way she dressed and carried herself made it clear she came from money.
The staff spotted her right away and hurried over.
“Hello, miss. What are you looking for today?”
Brie scanned the store. Everywhere she looked were antiques and crystal pieces.
Farther inside, she noticed shelves stacked with rough stones.
An antique shop wouldn’t display worthless rocks. Those had to be gambling stones.
She remembered a recent news story–some wealthy woman had picked the most ignored stone, under everyone’s mocking stares, and cracked it open to reveal a rare imperial emerald.
She’d made a fortune and shut everyone up.
Brie had felt jealous when she read that story. She’d even thought, If only I were that lucky.
Her thoughts settled. She tightened her grip on the painting and turned to the staff member. “I have a painting. I’d like it checked.”
The staff glanced at the rolled canvas in her hands. “This one?”
“Yes.”
“Please come this way.”
