Chapter 334 My Own Things
“Why so quiet now?” Tyne shot her a look full of scorn.
“You look down on me. You think I’m dirty because I sell my body. But one day, Brie, you might end up worse than me.”
With that, she turned and walked off fast, not once looking back.
“Heh… heh…”
Brie stared after her, grinding her teeth. Her fists clenched so tight they shook.
She watched Tyne’s back fade away–dressed in a way that screamed cheap and careless–and suddenly screamed after her, “Just wait! I’ll show you how much better I’ll live!”
Brie had already made up her mind. Kaleb wasn’t good enough for her. She was going to Vrastin. To hunt real rich men. She wanted to live above everyone else.
That afternoon, when Cassia arrived at her classroom, she got a message from a delivery company.
“[International Delivery] Your package has been signed for. Contact number: 123xxxxxxxx.””
Someone from the Woods must have taken it for her.
She sat down at her desk.
Class hadn’t started yet, and Sacha and Rosalie came over to chat.
“Um… Cassia, guess who I saw on the way to school?”
“Who?” Cassia asked lightly.
“Tyne!” Rosalie blurted out, her voice rising without meaning to. “You have no idea what she looks like now. I almost didn’t recognize her…”
Her words were overheard by Danica, who quietly pricked up her ears and listened.
Rosalie went on, “I felt bad for her, so I wanted to help. But she thought I was mocking her and started yelling at me instead. She even cursed Brie and Danice, saying they were trash! She said everyone with the last name Wood was awful!”
Before she could finish, there was a loud thud in the classroom.
Everyone turned toward the sound.
Danica awkwardly bent down to pick up the water bottle she had dropped.
Seeing people still staring, her face burned red. “What–what are you looking at? It’s just a bottle!”

Cassia thought Rosalie had basically asked to be yelled at. That was what happened when you were too soft–hearted
After school, Cassia left campus and went straight to the Wood Manor.
When Victoria saw her, she assumed Cassia had run out of money and come back for more.
Vance also noticed her and thought his eldest son must’ve worked fast, convincing her to return so soon.
But when he looked behind her, he didn’t see the boy who should’ve been with her.
Where’s that autistic kids” he asked, “Why didn’t you bring him back!”
T’m just here to get something,” Casia said calmnly.
Her cold tone instantly lit a spark of anger in Victoria.
“Get something! What are you here to take
The words sounded normal, but the meaning underneath was clear.
This was the Wood Manor. Everything here belonged to the Woods–not her.
“My own things,” Cassia replied flatly.
Vance’s heart skipped.
Did she find out that the orphanage director had been sending her money every month for Sterling’s treatment–and that he had taken it? Was she here to take it back?
While he was panicking, Cassia spoke again. “My package. Did it arrive?”
…Oh Vance let out a breath.
So it was just a package.

Victoria frowned. “Package? There’s no package for you.”
Cassia took out her phone and showed the delivery notice.
