Chapter 337 Mild Condition
Victoria stumbled back a few steps under Cassia’s stare.

The room sank into a tense, suffocating silence. Then, voices came from the front door. Three or four people in white coats had arrived.
“Where’s the patient?”
Cassia turned toward the door.
On their chests was the same logo. Omega Psychiatric Hospital.
Her gaze slid back to Victoria. “You called them?” Cassia asked.
Her face held a faint smile, not warm at all.
Bold. Untamed.
Vance and Danica both turned to stare at Victoria in shock.
“Mom…?”
“Grandma…?”
Only then did Victoria realize she had acted too fast.
She had panicked. She only wanted to protect Brie, so she had secretly called the hospital.
“That’s not what I meant,” she said quickly.
But in her eyes, Cassia’s behavior just now looked like an episode. A breakdown.
Cassia let out a soft laugh.
She tossed Brie aside like she was throwing away trash.
“You brought them here,” Cassia said calmly. “If that’s not what you meant, then what did you mean?”
Victoria had no answer.
The doctors stepped inside and scanned the room. Their eyes lingered on Cassia, then shifted to Victoria.
“Who is the patient?” one of them asked again.
Cassia lifted her hand and pointed. “Right there.”
Victoria froze.

Cassia’s voice was flat, emotionless. “She just tried to hit me with a vase. I’m her biological granddaughter, and she was ready to hurt me. That’s serious. I suggest you take her back and evaluate her condition properly.”
“I didn’t! That’s not true!” Victoria shouted. She was still holding the vase. Her defense sounded weak, even to herself.
One of the doctors stepped forward, his face serious.
“Ma’am, please calm down. I just need to ask you a few questions.”
Seeing how agitated she was, the doctor already had a rough judgment. This looked like the early signs of a mental health condition.
“G–go ahead,” Victoria said, her voice shaking.
“First, is she your biological granddaughter?”
“Yes.”
“Second. Were you àbout to hit her with that vase just now?”
“I… I…” She hesitated.
“Please answer honestly.”
“Yes, I was … but I-”
“That’s enough,” the doctor said, turning to the others. “Take her.”
Victoria’s eyes flew wide open.
“I’m not sick! You’ve got it wrong! It’s not me–it’s her-!”
The doctor’s face hardened. “You tried to hurt your own granddaughter. Do you think that’s normal behavior? Please cooperate and come with us.”
“I told you it’s not me!” Victoria screamed, fighting wildly.
“Her condition looks more serious than expected,” the doctor said.
He took out a prepared sedative and injected it with practiced ease.
Within seconds, Victoria’s body went limp.
The doctors held her up. “Let’s move,” the lead doctor said.
Brie lay on the floor, frozen. Vance and Danica stood there like statues.
They watched the entire scene unfold. They watched Victoria get taken away.

They also saw the doctors nod politely at Cassia before leaving.
So… they knew each other?
And the one taken away wasn’t Cassia. It was Victoria.
Brie didn’t dare move. She was terrified.
If she got taken to a place like that, her reputation would be over.

After the doctors left, Cassia took one last look around. Even now, Brie still hadn’t handed over the painting. That meant it wasn’t here anymore.
Cassia turned and walked toward the front door.
“I won’t let this go,” she said coldly before leaving.
That night, she didn’t go to extra class. Besides this mess, she still hadn’t done hypnosis therapy for Sterling.
When Rosalie noticed Cassia was absent, she helped cover for her and asked for leave.
Inside the psychiatric hospital ambulance.
One of the doctors pulled down his mask. He was young, steady, and good–looking.
“Cassia.”
“Hugo,” Cassia said, looking at him. “Why are you here? If the director isn’t around, won’t the patients act up?”
“I got the call from the Woods and rushed over,” he said, glancing at Victoria, who was unconscious in the back.
“I told you before, Cassia. She showed early signs of a mental health condition. See? It finally surfaced.”
Cassia glanced back once. Her expression didn’t change.
“I expected this.”
Victoria’s condition wasn’t new. Not long after Cassia returned to the Wood Manor, she noticed something was off.
Later, she contacted the director of Omega Psychiatric Hospital in Zrario, Hugo Kase. The two of them observed Victoria for a while and agreed–it was a mild condition, early stage.
If Cassia hadn’t wanted to avoid provoking her… If she hadn’t still hoped, deep down, to feel what a real family was like… If she hadn’t wanted to avoid trouble, she would’ve exposed everything long ago.
Why hide it?

“I wouldn’t recommend waiting, the doctor said seriously. “Cassia, while it’s still mild. I really suggest admitting her properly. Don’t wait until it gets worse.”
