Cassia ignored them and kept typing fast on her laptop.

Her fingers flew across the keyboard as the three of them crowded behind her to see what she was doing.
The screen was filled with code they couldn’t understand.
“Surprised? Ms. Wood knows programming. She’s trying to track the kidnapper’s location right now,” Sean said as he joined them, laughing at how confused Vance and the others looked.
What? Cassia knew how to code? She could find Tyne’s location?
That was crazy. That was basically hacker–level skills.
Victoria, Vance, and Brie just stared at Cassia’s hands flying over the keyboard.
Her fingers were moving so fast they were basically a blur.
They were stunned.
Completely stunned.
Sean rubbed his chin, enjoying the shock on their faces.
It was the exact same face he made when he first found out what Cassia could do.
Just then, Geneva came back from grocery shopping. She saw the situation and quickly asked what was going on.
Vance explained everything to her in a simple way.
“It’s too dangerous for Cassia to go find Tyne alone, and Danica is in trouble,” Geneva said. “I’m going with her to save Danica!”
Victoria added, “I’m going, too!”
Geneva hurried to calm her down. “Mom, it’s too dangerous. Your legs aren’t good, and your health isn’t great. Don’t go. You’ll just be another person we have to worry about.”
Victoria looked at her aging, weak body and let out a tired sigh. “Fine. I’ll stay here and wait for good news. If Tyne asks for money, just give it to her. You have to bring Danica back safe!”

Vance looked at Geneva and Victoria, who were both ready to risk their lives to save Danica. Compared to how he reacted earlier…
He caught Sean looking at him with disgust and, for a second, he actually felt like a terrible. father.
Suddenly, Cassia stopped typing.
After finding Tyne’s location, she immediately called Jake.
“Harmony Hotel. Bring the guys and surround the place.”
Then she closed her laptop, stood up, and tossed the bankbook to Brie.
“You have ten minutes to transfer the money to Tyne’s account. If you’re even one second late, I’m calling the cops. I mean it.”
Cassia spoke quickly, didn’t even glance at them, and walked straight out of Wood Manor.
Geneva hurried after her.
“Cassia, wait for me!”
Inside a room in Harmony Hotel.
Tyne was waiting for the bank transfer notification on her phone.
“Hey!” Tyne kicked Danica.
“Honestly, growing up in a family like yours, with a dad like that? It’s pathetic. If I were you, I’d rather be dead.”
Danica curled up on the floor with her back facing Tyne, silent.
“I’m talking to you. Why are you so rude? I used to respond to you every time something.” Tyne kicked her again.
“Hey! At least give me a grunt.”
But Danica stayed the same–blank eyes, pale face, no reaction at all.

“You gotta be kidding me!”
She walked up to Danica, squatted down, grabbed her by the collar, and slapped her.
