Chapter 400 Sleeping Pills
Chapter 400 Sleeping Pills
“Sleeping pills!!!”
“What?!” Victoria snatched the phone out of Vance’s hand.
Sleeping pills. Payer: Danica.
Only Danica knew her payment password.
‘It really is sleeping pills! Danica bought sleeping pills?!
‘When did Danica buy sleeping pills?!”
At the same time, Vance finally understood.
No wonder Cassia had just asked whether they knew Danica’s payment password.
t was to clear Geneva of suspicion.
He had to admit it–Cassia’s mind was sharp and carefully thought out.
Victoria and Geneva remembered it, too!
Just the day before yesterday, Danica had come out of her room on her own.
They had been so happy then, thinking Danica was finally willing to step out of her room, finally willing to go outside.
They had seen that when Danica came back, she was holding a package.
They never dared imagine that she had gone out to pick up a delivery–sleeping pills!
Danica had a severe tendency toward suicide and had bought sleeping pills online to kill herself!
Vance and the others didn’t dare think any further. They quickly picked up Danica and rushed her to the hospital.
Cassia stayed with Geneva, waiting outside the operating room.

Aspen and Brie, after hearing that Danica had attempted suicide by taking sleeping pills and had been sent to the hospital for a stomach pump, also rushed over.
Brie arrived last.
The group sat outside the operating room, all of them looking grave.
They waited until almost midnight, when the red light outside the operating room turned green.
The doors opened, and a doctor walked out.
“Doctor, how is Danica?” Geneva grabbed the doctor and asked anxiously.
“The patient is out of danger and will be fine,” the doctor said as he removed his mask. “But the amount of sleeping pills she took was too large and caused irreversible damage to her body. Her stomach is extremely fragile now and urgently needs rest.”

It was a close call. They discovered it in time, got her to the hospital in time, and pumped her stomach in time. Otherwise, Danica really would have lost her life this time!
“Sit down and rest for a bit,” Cassia said, helping Geneva sit.
Looking at Geneva’s face, she could see how much more worn she had become. Her once thick, jet–black hair was now threaded with many strands of silver.
Victoria wasn’t doing much better either. Her condition had probably worsened again.
Compared to Vance, Brie, and Aspen, Cassia found it deeply ironic.
“What do we do about Danica’s illness?” Geneva said, unable to stop the tears from falling.
No one answered.
Cassia couldn’t bear to see her mother keep wearing herself down like this.
If this went on, before Danica’s depression got better, Geneva’s body would collapse first.
Geneva was the only person in this world who truly cared about her from the heart.
Cassia broke the heavy silence.
“I can cure Danica.”
All eyes turned to Cassia.
There were all kinds of looks, but most of them were full of disbelief.
“You can cure her? Are you trying to make things worse?” Vance said. “You’re not even a psychologist.”
“Exactly,” Brie chimed in. “Cassia, don’t make trouble. Did you cure Sterling’s autism? His autism was that severe, and back then, you swore to the Zimmers and us that you could cure him. But it’s been four months–has he been cured?”
“I already successfully cured Sterling. He’s now attending Zrario Elementary School.”
“Impossible!” Vance said with nothing but mockery and disbelief. “You think reading one or two psychology books in your spare time makes you a psychologist? If you can really cure her, I’ll immediately return those 40,000 dollars to you!”
Seeing that Vance and Cassia were about to argue again, Brie felt secretly delighted. She wished they would start fighting right there in the hospital.
But she couldn’t show it. She still had to play the peacemaker and earn points with Vance.
“Dad, Cassia, don’t argue,” Brie said gently, pulling on Vance’s arm. “Dad, don’t be angry. Cassia is just lying because she wants Danica to get better sooner. It’s still good intentions.”
