Lilian always thought she knew exactly who the top students were and who the struggling ones

were.

And in her mind, Cassia was definitely the struggling type. Cassia never paid attention in class. If she scored well once, it had to be luck.

Cassia didn’t argue. This bet wasn’t even her idea in the first place. So she simply nodded and said, “We’ll wait and see.”

The other students sighed inside. They thought they were going to watch some drama, but the excitement fizzled out.

Even Lilian froze for a second when she saw Cassia wasn’t fighting back. It made her see her in a new light, just a little.

When the bell rang, Sacha hurried straight to Cassia’s desk. Her eyes were full of admiration. “Cassia, you’re amazing.”

Cassia raised a brow and teased her. “You don’t think I cheated to get that score?”

“No way. I don’t believe you’d ever cheat.” With those strict proctors, cheating wasn’t even possible. Besides, Cassia got full marks. Who could she even copy from?

Cassia smiled. “Honestly, I’m not amazing. My grades are usually average. I guessed on most of this test.”

“I know you did it on your own,” Sacha said firmly. She always felt Cassia was different from everyone else.

There was something mysterious about her, something she couldn’t explain, but it made Cassia seem powerful in her own quiet way.

Harold frowned and looked at her. “Do you have any proof Cassia cheated?”

Selena froze, then shook her head.

“Ms. Parker, without proof, we can’t accuse a student. It wouldn’t be fair to her. And maybe we misjudged her. Maybe she really is gifted.” Harold was already busy and had no interest in dealing with baseless complaints.
