Chapter 465 Bitter Truths
Tyne spoke as if she had always known what kind of person Brie really was.
“Haha!” Tyne let out a cold laugh. Then she went on, “Didn’t you just ask me how I ended up like this?

Kaleb asked, “Wasn’t it because you destroyed a famous painting at Grey Group’s new branch and ended up drowning in debt?”
“And do you know who told me to ruin that painting?” Tyne asked with a strange smile.
“Someone told you to do it? Who?” Kaleb asked, stunned.
All Kaleb knew was that Tyne had destroyed Jayden’s artwork, owed a huge debt, and got kicked out by her family. She was barely surviving by selling herself.
He had no idea there was more to the story.
“Brie and Danica,” Tyne said.
“What?!” Kaleb blurted out.
“Brie pushed Danica into suggesting it. Danica told me to steal the painting. And I was stupid enough to listen.”
Kaleb looked straight into Tyne’s eyes. She didn’t seem to be lying.
After learning what kind of person Brie truly was, Tyne’s words sounded painfully believable.
He glanced her up and down.
She had once been a polished, glamorous heiress. Her new look filled him with quiet regret.
“Brie ruins people,” Kaleb said bitterly. “We didn’t see her true face until late April. Turns out we were fooled and used by her the whole time.”
“Oh?” Tyne’s eyes lit up with interest.
“So, the whole school knows what kind of snake Brie is?! What happened? Tell me!”
She grabbed Kaleb’s arm and pulled him toward the dining table of the barbeque restaurant.
He hesitated when he saw the shirtless men sitting around it. He felt a little nervous.
But then he noticed the plates of smoky barbeque meat and a full crate of beer under the table.
The anger he had swallowed all day burned in his chest. Maybe letting it out tonight wasn’t such a bad idea.
He sat down with her.
“I heard from my sister that after Danica was rescued. “Kaleb began
A few minutes later, Tyne burst into laughter and lifted an entire bottle of beer to her mouth.
“You’re saying Danica got depression and kept trying to hurt herself? That Bne pushed her down a staircase from the fourth floor

and blamed Cassia? And in the end, Danica couldn’t live with the guilt and exposed Brie in front of the whole school?”
Tyne laughed hard. She pulled another glass bottle from the box, popped it open, and took a long gulp.
Bang!
She slammed the bottle onto the table.
“This is better than any soap opera! Brie and Danica finally got what they deserved! That feels so good! Hahaha!”
It had been a long time since Tyne felt this relieved.
“Yeah,” Kaleb said. “After that, we finally realized we had wronged Cassia all this time.”

Kaleb watched Tyne–who used to never touch alcohol–now drinking like nothing could stop her. His feelings were mixed.
He was old enough to drink, but he would never drink like that.
Kaleb picked up a chicken wing and chewed quietly.
“You were furious just now, saying you wished you’d never met Brie. Did she do something to you too?”
As he spoke, Kaleb bit down hard on the chicken wing.
“She stole my guaranteed admission spot to Vego University,” he said through clenched teeth.
Then he told Tyne everything Brie had done to him.
He cursed Brie a few times. Once the mood rose, Kaleb cursed along with her.
“So,” Tyne asked, lifting her head to look at him, “do you hate her now?”
“After what she did to me, how could I not?” Kaleb said, taking a deep gulp of beer.
“But she’s too good at putting on a show. The teachers clearly take her side, I can only swallow this anger.”
“I can help you get payback,” Tyne said, her lips curling into a smile.
