Chapter 469 I’m Obscura
Chapter 469 I’m Obscura
Ding–ding–ding!
The final bell rang; the exam had concluded.
Cassia stood up and walked straight to the podium. Before the proctors could even ask, she handed in her test paper.
One of the proctors shot her a sharp look. Turning in early broke the usual exam rules.
Cassia was leaving; Kaleb grew anxious. He silently urged the proctors to hurry and collect his paper too.
Ten minutes later, the proctors finally announced that everyone could leave.
Kaleb packed up fast and rushed after Cassia.
Once everyone was allowed to leave, other students, curious and eager for drama, quickly followed.
Brie watched Kaleb chase after Cassia. Her face twisted with anger.
It used to be her and Kaleb, always together. Now the whole school knew Kaleb had dumped her.

That alone was bad enough. But after breaking up with her, Kaleb ignored teachers and parents and openly chased Cassia. He didn’t care at all about Brie’s feelings.
What hurt even more was this–after Brie told Harold about Kaleb pursuing Cassia, Kaleb actually hit her.
What a jerk!
A complete jerk!
How could I have liked someone like him?
“Cassia!” Kaleb shouted, chasing Cassie all the way to the school gate.
But the entrance was crowded with parents and teachers. Cassia disappeared into the crowd.
The other students caught up and saw Kaleb standing there, staring at the sea of people, looking lost.
Disappointed, Kaleb decided he would talk to Cassia later that afternoon.
He left the school.
With no drama left to watch, the students slowly scattered, each going off with their parents.
That afternoon, after the math exam, Cassia went straight to Dunstino Bay.
Kaleb still didn’t catch her.
That evening, Draven and Seven came over to Cassia’s place.
Seven was actually there to see Sterling, but by habit, he stopped to greet Cassia first.

After all, she had taken the SAT today. He wanted to wish her luck.
Cassia opened the door, then went back to the couch. She sat down and picked up her phone, starting a game.
“Oh? Playing games?” Seven said while changing his shoes. He heard the game sounds and glanced her way. “Feeling confident? Looks like you did well today.”
Wow. Playing games right after the SAT. Classic. Ms. Wood is always different.
“Mm,” Cassia replied, clearly multitasking.
“What are you playing?” “Seven?” he asked as he walked over.
“Asymmetrical V,” Cassia answered, still focused on the screen.
“You play that too? I like it a lot,” Seven said, sitting across from her.
“Last time you analyzed Blackwater so clearly. You’re a fan too, right? Don’t tell me you’re also an Obscura fan like me.”
Cassia slowly looked up at him, giving him a calm but unreadable look.

“Let me tell you something,” Seven said, lowering his voice, excited. “This is top insider news. You can’t tell anyone.” Cassia kept playing, listening. “Obscura is making a comeback. Very soon.”
Cassia looked up again, this time with a strange expression.
“Well, I’m Obscura.”
She didn’t see any reason to hide it.
Seven froze.
He stayed like that for a few full seconds before he finally reacted. “And then?” he asked.
“And then what?” Cassia frowned. Something about his reaction felt off.
“Wait, weren’t you not done talking?” Seven said, looking confused.
Cassia didn’t quite get what he meant.
“You were trying to tell me you’re an Obscura … fan, right?” Seven said.
Cassia was speechless.
“I really am Obscura. You don’t believe me? Fine.” Cassia turned her phone around and handed it to Seven.
Right then, the front door opened.
Draven walked in.
Seven was just about to look at Cassia’s phone when he noticed Draven staring at him.
That look was not friendly.
