She wanted to keep them to herself. But if she didn’t explain what kind of papers they were, the others would keep bothering her. She wouldn’t be able to focus on studying.
So, she picked up a random test from the desk. “It’s this one,” Cassia said casually,
Once the classmates found out which test had helped Danica improve so fast, they finally left her alone.
After school, many students rushed to the bookstore. The same test Cassia had grabbed without thinking sold out in no time.
Brie stared at the latest ranking list, her eyes trembling.
She had already lost her guaranteed admission to Vego University. She couldn’t keep falling like this.
She had to work hard. She had to fight for it. Only then could she get into Vego University and stayed in the Woods.
Before she knew it, it was D–day.
SAT day.
Cassia finished the test in ten minutes and raised her hand to turn it in.
“You’re done already?” The proctor and several classmates looked at her.
“Yeah,” Cassia replied calmly.
The proctor walked over and picked up her paper.
The front section was completed. The later questions were barely touched.
“You didn’t finish,” the proctor said.
Cassia looked bored.
“I’ll pass.”
The proctor’s eyes twitched.
This was the SAT. Was she serious?
“Rules say you can’t leave for first thirty minutes. If you don’t want to keep writing, just put your head down and rest.”
Before the proctor finished speaking, Cassia had already laid her head on the desk. She was fast asleep.
The proctor was speechless.
Brie was taking the SAT in the same classroom. She had been watching Cassia the whole time.
The test was much harder than any exam before. Everyone could feel it now.

Even Brie, who usually did well, was struggling.
Cassia only did the first part and skipped the rest. Did she really think she could still pass?
She must be delusional.
Brie looked at Cassia lying on the desk and sneered.
Just wait. Fail the test. Miss the SAT. See where that gets you.
Kaleb was also assigned to the same room.
He was watching Cassia too, his brows tightly knit.
She was clearly smart. Why couldn’t she take this seriously?
He was confident he could get into Vego University. When he saw Cassia treated the SAT so casually made him anxious.
Before, her grades were always excellent. He believed she would get into the same, university as him.
Cassia probably wouldn’t make it now.
What then? Long–distance relationships were hard.

He should have talked to her earlier. Not as her boyfriend, but at least he could help her aim for the same school. This was important.
But Cassia wasn’t in his class, and she always left the moment school ended.
He tried going to her class to find her after school, but every time, she was gone before he get there.
She never gave him a chance.
In the past few days, his parents had been talking to him a lot. They had found out he was chasing Cassia.
He promised them that before the SAT, he wouldn’t get distracted. He would focus only on studying.
But it seemed his parents weren’t worried about his grades at all when they told him to give up on Cassia.
They kept trying to convince him, saying Cassia was useless. A joke amongst rich families. Someone not good enough for him.
At the last parent–teacher meeting, his parents were busy, so his grandmother attended instead. Because of that, his parents still didn’t know how well Cassia performed at school.
He had already explained to them. Cassia was very smart. She had won first place in the Zrario Volleyball Tournament. She also ranked first in school exams almost every time. She just didn’t like studying seriously. But his parents refused to believe him.
They even said that no matter what, they would never allow Cassia to marry into their family.
