Chapter 474 Not in This Lifetime
Cassia glanced at the milk tea in Byron’s hand, but she didn’t slow down.
“Stop bothering me,” she said.
Byron noticed her looking at the drink and thought she didn’t like milk tea.

“You don’t like milk tea? That’s okay. My family might be known for academics, but we also own a lot of drink shops. Coffee, juice, whatever you want… Just tell me. I’ll get it for you.”
Cassia frowned.
“I don’t need anything.”
She picked up her pace.
“Hey–Cassia-” Byron hurried after her.
Just then, Kaleb stepped out of the classroom and saw Byron chasing Cassia.
He suddenly felt a powerful sense of threat.
There were more and more rivals showing up. At this rate, someone else would steal Cassia away sooner or later.
If he wanted her, he couldn’t stay passive anymore.
That afternoon, the final exam ended.
The twelfth graders were thrilled.
After a full year of stress, the nightmare was finally over.
Parents crowded the school gates to pick up their kids. Only Cassia walked out alone.
Zrario High was filled with laughter and excited voices.
“Cassia! Cassia! The SAT is finally over!”
Rosalie and Sacha rushed to find her the moment they finished their exams.
“There she is!” Sacha spotted Cassia in the crowd and grabbed Rosalie’s hand as they ran over.
They reached her and hooked their arms through hers, one on each side.
Cassia looked at them.
The girls chatted about nothing in particular as they walked toward the exit.
“The SAT is over. I feel like a weight has been taken off my shoulders!” Rosalie stretched with a big yawn.
“Cassia, let’s celebrate! Where should we go?”

“Why not visit my hometown?” Sacha said excitedly. “Chesthale Peak is beautiful. There are mountain springs and wild rabbits in the hills!”
“Oh! Rosalie, didn’t your dad come from Chesthale Peak too?” Sacha added. “He started from nothing and became a big–time
CEO!”
The three of them reached the school gate. Sacha and Rosalie noticed Aspen’s car parked by the curb.
“Cassia, is that your brother’s car?” Rosalie asked.
As soon as she finished speaking, the driver’s window slowly rolled down.
“Wait, it really is him.” Sacha gasped when she saw the man in the driver’s seat. “Since when does he care this much? He actually came to pick you up himself?”
“It has nothing to do with me,” Cassia said flatly and kept walking.
“True,” Rosalie said. “Maybe he’s here for Brie or Danica.”
Cassia ignores him like always. Aspen quickly drove forward.
“Your brother really does seem to be here for you,” Rosalie whispered, tugging at her sleeve.
“Ignore him,” Cassia said without turning back.
Aspen pulled the car ahead and blocked her path.
He got out, holding a plush toy, and looked at her. “Cassia, you worked hard on your exams. This is a little reward from me.”
“Thanks. I don’t need it,” she said coldly, giving him only a brief glance.
She didn’t want his after–the–fact concern.
Aspen tightened his grip on the stuffed bear and held it out again.
“How about I take you for a drive? You can relax. There’s a new food street nearby. The food’s really good.”
“Stop bothering me!” Cassia stopped walking and turned around. Her expression was distant, cool, and clearly impatient.
“Cassia…” Aspen looked at her, hurt. As her brother, her coldness hurt him.
“Give me one chance. Forgive me for everything I did before. Let me take care of you and make it up to you. Let me do my job as your brother, okay?”
His sincere plea made Rosalie and Sacha feel sorry for him.
