Chapter 496 So Handsome
“Then…”
“But my money is with Cassia. She manages it for me,” Sterling said.
Looking at the greed she could barely hide, he was sure this woman was lying.
No way he would give her a single dollar before Cassia came back.
Wait until Cassia returns? Brie thought.
No way. If that woman showed up, I definitely wouldn’t get the money–I might even get beaten up instead.

“Um…” She rubbed her fingers together nervously and stepped closer. “No need to trouble Cassia. Since you’re here, why don‘ return the 100 million now?”
Sterling was still just a kid. Seeing her move closer like a wolf in disguise made him uncomfortable–and a little scared. He hug the shopping bags tighter against his chest.
Seven had been watching the whole time. Seeing her shameless behavior, he muttered under his breath, “Unbelievable.”
When it looked like Sterling was about to be bullied, he couldn’t sit still any longer.
“That’s it. I’m going down.”
He opened the car door, then paused and looked at Draven. “Mr. Grey, this is small stuff. I’ll handle her–and help the kid get a lit payback.”
“Do what you want,” Draven replied calmly.
Before Brie could get an answer, a handsome young man suddenly stepped into view and sat down beside Sterling.
“Hey, kid. I’m here.”
Seven crossed one leg over the other and casually rested a hand on Sterling’s shoulder while looking at Brie.
Feeling someone on his side, Sterling relaxed and wasn’t as scared anymore.
He turned to Seven, puzzled. “Why are you here?”
“Just passing by,” Seven said with a grin.
Passing by?
Sterling gave him a doubtful look and quietly removed Seven’s arm from his shoulder.
Seven pulled his hand back and pouted slightly. I came all the way here to help you, and that’s the attitude I get?
Brie looked at the suddenly appearing handsome guy, her eyes roaming over him from head to toe, “So handsome…” she s murmured.
Cough–wait. I came here for the money. Why am I staring at a guy?

“Um…” She swallowed, trying to keep her elegant image, and cut in, “About the 100 million Cassia took–you should return it
her now.”
“You’re saying Cassia took your 100 million?” Seven turned to her, his eyes sharp.
Brie nodded without hesitation. “Yes. Since Cassia and Sterling moved out, they probably ran short on money. She cares abo pride and didn’t want to ask the family, so she secretly transferred 100 million from my dad’s company. When my dad found remembered that she’s still his daughter, so he asked me to come get it back.”
“That doesn’t sound right,” Seven said with a faint smirk, his eyes full of mockery.
“From what I remember, you were the one who secretly stole Cassia’s painting, sold it for 100 million, and then shamelessly tr keep money that didn’t even belong to you.”
The truth stunned Sterling.
So she really was lying. I knew it–Cassia would never do something like that.
Good thing I hadn’t agreed to give her any money.
Not only did she steal Cassia’s painting and sell it, but she even tried to keep the money. How could she have the nerve?
Brie stared at Seven in shock.
From the confused look Sterling had earlier, it was clear he didn’t know anything about it.
Even Sterling, who lived with Cassia, didn’t know about that incident–so how did this man know?
No need to guess. That woman must have told him.
So close. She had almost gotten the money.
Now this handsome guy had exposed her lie right in front of everyone.
Her face burned with embarrassment. If the ground opened up right now, she would jump straight in.
But then she thought about the 100 million again.
Cassia wasn’t here—this was the perfect chance. If she missed it, getting the money later would be much harder.
Fine. For that money, she would push through no matter what.
“Actually… our dad got into trouble and is in jail. He needs money,” she said quickly, putting on a pitiful expression and making up another excuse.
“Oh, so now you’re asking for a loan?” Seven crossed his arms, looking completely unimpressed.
He knew exactly what kind of person Brie was. That act wasn’t going to work on him.
