Chapter 535 Chaos on the Hillside
Holy shit! He actually lured it out?
“That actually worked!”
Sacha and Rosalie were so shocked their jaws nearly dropped.
The rabbit shot around like a rocket, darting wildly through the grass at their feet, desperately trying to find another hole to dive into.
To city girls–especially someone like Rosalie who had grown up surrounded by concrete–the gray rabbit looked more like an oversized rat.
“Ah!”
They jumped and dodged.
Even Sacha, who was supposed to be the experienced one, got caught up in their panic–shouting while trying to catch the rabbit.
Their sharp screams only made the already timid rabbit lose all sense of direction, bouncing around like a headless chicken.
The whole scene turned into absolute chaos.
Seven seized the moment. His eyes were sharp as blades as he locked onto his target. He lunged forward and grabbed the rabbit o the ears in one swift move.
“Haha, got it!”
The poor rabbit struggled helplessly in his grip.
Seven held it up proudly, turning in a full circle for everyone to see, looking like he had just won an Olympic gold medal.
He even ran over to Cassia and Draven, who were still sitting on the rock watching.
‘Look, Mr. Grey! I caught a rabbit! Not bad, right? Pretty awesome, huh?”
Draven barely spared him a glance before returning his attention to Cassia, occasionally handing her a pack of crackers.
Cassia munched on the crackers, her legs swinging lazily in the air.
Seven screamed internally, Seriously? You’re completely ignoring me?
‘Oh! Nice job!” Only Sacha clapped enthusiastically, finally giving Seven a bit of satisfaction.
Rosalie, meanwhile, clutched her chest and let out a relieved breath. “Phew, that scared me! It looked like a giant rat!”
Just then…
The rabbit struggled violently, and with Seven’s loose grip, it suddenly broke free.
“Hey!”

The rabbit hit the ground near Seven’s feet and bolted straight toward Cassia and Draven.
At that moment, Cassia was drinking water.
However, the rabbit was too fast. By the time she reacted, it had already rushed to her feet, brushing against her ankle.
The soft, furry touch sent a chill through her body, and she instinctively kicked forward.
That kick landed squarely on the rabbit. Like a shooting star, it flew through the air, forming a perfect arc.
It crashed onto the hard ground and landed on its back, twitching.
Everything happened so fast that everyone, including Draven, froze in shock.

Seven was the first to snap out of it. “Damn, that was insane,” he blurted, then hurried over to pick up the motionless rabbit.
Holding it by the ears, he frowned.
“Wait, it’s not moving. Is it dead?”
“D–dead?” Sacha rushed over and touched the rabbit.
Stiff.
“Oh no… oh no… we’re in trouble!” Cold sweat broke out across her forehead.
She had only meant to give them a fun experience of catching the rabbit and then releasing it. She never expected something like this to happen.
She and Rosalie had both seen how strong Cassia was. And with that kick just now, forget an animal, even a person would be in pain for a week.
The rabbit was definitely….
“W–what’s wrong?” Rosalie asked nervously, seeing Sacha’s pale expression.
“Um… Mr. Grey… what’s the number for a world–class veterinarian again?”
Seven looked at Draven helplessly.
Just as he finished speaking, Nathan came running over with a group of forest rangers, shouting loudly.
‘Officer! That’s them! I saw everything!
‘Officer! It’s them!”
Nathan led the group straight toward them.
‘They’re illegally capturing wild animals! Look! That rabbit in his hand is evidence!”
The rangers rushed over, immediately spotting the rabbit in Seven’s hand.
“You’ve got some nerve. You’re all adults, aren’t you? Don’t you know it’s illegal to catch wild rabbits?” one of the rangers scolded loudly, pointing at the rabbit.

Seeing Seven and the others being reprimanded, Cassia moved to jump down from the rock to explain, but Draven’s voice stopped her.
“Don’t worry. Seven can handle it.”
Cassia looked at the rabbit for a moment, thought it over, then nodded. Sitting was more comfortable anyway. She settled back down, deciding to watch how things played out.
Seven scratched the back of his head with one hand while holding the rabbit with the other, apologizing earnestly. “Sorry, it’s our first time out here. We saw a wild rabbit and just wanted to experience it with a local’s help. We weren’t actually trying to capture it; we planned to release it after.”
That had been the plan. He just hadn’t expected the rabbit to escape, and then get sent flying by Cassia’s kick…
“Yes, officer, we’ll release it right away.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
Sacha and Rosalie nodded along quickly.
Seeing their sincere attitude, the rangers decided to let them off with a warning after a brief lecture.
