He had just taken a hit to the groin from Cassia, and the pain hadn’t even faded yet before Draven’s kick slammed him to the ground again.
Mike’s face twisted and spasmed from the overwhelming pain, turning a dark purplish black as cold sweat poured down in heavy drops, veins bulging sharply at his temples.
“Ahhh… Aghhh…”
Clutching the spot where he’d been hit, Mike let out one agonized scream after another.
Before he could recover, Draven was already walking toward him again.
Looking up at Draven, who loomed over him like death itself, Mike was finally, truly afraid.
But he still tried to talk tough.
“I–I’m the son of the CEO of Wilcox Group! If you dare to–ah!”
Another kick.
And it didn’t stop.
It kept coming.
Draven’s face was cold and rigid as he drove one kick after another into Mike.
The room filled with Mike’s piglike screams.
By the time Seven arrived, he was instantly shaken by the scene inside the private room.
He could clearly feel the overwhelming fury radiating off Draven.
Then he looked at Draven’s face. The man’s eyes burned with fire, madness raging in them, barely held back.
“M–Mr. Grey, Ms. Wood…”
Seven glanced toward Cassia, and when he saw her face flushed as red as blood, he couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.
Draven looked at Mike, now beaten into a limp, useless heap, and didn’t spare him another second. He turned back and walked over to Cassia, gently lifting her from the couch.
Cassia, eyes closed, felt someone touch her and jolted slightly, her consciousness snapping a bit clearer.
Her eyes flew open, but her vision was blurred, and she was unable to make out who it was.
“It’s me.” The hoarse voice sounded in her ear.
It was him.
Cassia slowly let her guard down and went limp in his arms.

Just like before, cool and comforting.
Draven quietly looked at Cassia resting in his arms, finally relaxed.
If I took her right now, would she be mad?
Probably not. But I don’t want her first time to be like this.
I want her to be awake and willing…
“Let’s go.”
After saying that to Seven, Draven carried Cassia out of the café and got into the car.

On the way, under the effects of the drug, Cassia kept burrowing into his arms, her small hands gripping his shirt tightly as she occasionally rubbed against him like a cat.
Draven held her, feeling her teasing movements, feeling the heat of her body.
It was heaven and hell.
He knew she was suffering.
After bringing Cassia back to his condominium, Draven immediately placed her into a bathtub filled with cool water.
Seven waited in the living room, and after settling Cassia, Draven walked out of the bathroom and into the living room.
Seven clicked his tongue as he looked at Draven’s wrinkled, tugged–out–of–shape shirt with faint red marks on it.
“Uh, Mr. Grey, I’ll go stay with the kid tonight and keep him calm.”
When Seven reached the door, he suddenly thought of something and turned back.
“What are you planning to do with Mike, Mr. Grey?”
At the mention of Mike’s name, Draven’s gaze turned instantly icy.
“Lock him up. And after daybreak, I don’t want to hear a single thing about Wilcox Group anymore.”
“Got it.”
Seven opened the door and left.
He already knew Wilcox Group was finished. Of all people to mess with, they had to go after Cassia.
Cassia was someone Draven treasured above everything. If they dared touch her, they’d better be ready for something worse than
death.
Especially Mike.
After Seven left, worried something might happen with her alone in the tub, Draven quickly returned to the bathroom.
“Feeling any better?” Draven crouched beside the tub, looking at Cassia, whose face was tightly scrunched as she fought through it, his brows drawn into a deep frown.
