Chapter 582 I’ll Give It a Shot
Meanwhile, Tad hadn’t taken a single hit and kept taunting them nonstop.
“At the gate! Get over here and help me!”
“On my way!” Ernest abandoned the runner he’d just hit and headed straight for the gate.
By the time Ernest arrived with Dream Witch, he saw Ashley get slammed by a pallet.
“Damn it! The roller coaster spawned right at this gate!”
Before Ernest could even release a follower, he watched helplessly as the mechanic jumped onto the roller coaster.

There was no way he could catch up, so he ran toward the second station, thinking there were three stops in total. Each stop paused for five seconds before restarting, so he could wait at the second station and land a Terror Shock the moment the survivor got off.
But someone had already activated the switch at the second station. The ride didn’t stop at all and went straight to the third station.
“Great. What now?”
Ernest’s expression turned grim. “Stay calm. Let’s see if we still have a chance.”
Ashley, unwilling to accept it, used Teleport and went straight to the cipher machine beneath the third station.
But when he got there, two runners were dancing in front of the machine. The moment they saw him, one of them rolled a ball straight into Crimson Butterfly, slamming her into the structure and stunning her.
Ashley was speechless.
Right after that, the other runner stepped back, timed it perfectly with the stun, and rolled another ball into her, while the first one happily dribbled their ball around.
“Help! They’re bullying the hunter!” Ashley shouted.
Ashley.
Ernest had brought Peepers as his secondary skill, so he couldn’t teleport like Ashley. All he could do was run over from a distance.
Ashley was stuck in a loop, stunned over and over as the two runners took turns hitting her, completely unable to move, while Ernest had only just reached the middle of Luna Bridge.
There weren’t many cipher machines left, and they hadn’t even touched Tad once. Both of them were completely overwhelmed..
Before Ernest could even make it under the third station, the runners scattered like birds.
This opening was an absolute disaster for the hunters.
“How are we supposed to play this?” Ernest slammed the table in frustration.
“Forget it. They made it to the Abyss finals. We’re just scrubs stuck in the comeback bracket, and we’re not even good at hunter. Losing’s normal,” Ashley sighed.

Just then, a calm, clear female voice sounded behind them.
“Want me to give it a shot?”
Both of them jumped and turned around.
A girl stood behind Ashley, her beauty almost unreal, her gaze fixed on the battle playing out on his phone.
Who is she? When did she get there? Neither of them had noticed a thing.

Ashley had only joined the team after Clement and Tobias were poached by Cyclone, brought in by Seven not long after. As for Ernest, he was a veteran, but he’d joined after Cassia had already left the team.
So both of them had only ever heard of Obscura. Neither had seen her in person.
“Who are you?” Ashley asked, turning to look at Cassia.
At the sound of his voice, Cassia lifted her gaze from the game, glancing at Ashley, then at Ernest.
Two unfamiliar faces. It made sense that they didn’t recognize her.
“Cassia Wood.”
After saying her name, she added, “Where’s Urban?”
“You’re looking for Urban?”
Ernest finally realized she must be here for him, probably a friend or something.
Damn, Urban actually knows a girl this gorgeous and never introduced her to us?
And instead of liking someone like her, he fell for that gold digger? Seriously….
“Urban…stepped out for something. He’ll be back in a bit.” Ernest avoided mentioning the cheating. No way he was saying that out loud, especially not in front of another girl.
His bro had dignity to protect.
“I see.” Cassia nodded, then tilted her chin toward Ashley’s phone.
“There are four machines left.”
Ashley let out an “ah,” glanced at the screen, then dropped his phone, looking defeated.
