After speaking, he looked at the time again, his frown tightening even more.

The doctors beside him noticed and hurried to reassure him, “Maybe there’s traffic, so she’s running a bit late.”
In truth, they were unsure too, but saying this might at least make Draven feel a little better.
Several doctors were gathered outside the door as well, all peeking inside. Some hadn’t seen Cassia yesterday, and after hearing the others describe her so mysteriously, they were now waiting here just to catch a glimpse of her true appearance.
After all, normally there’s no chance to see someone like this. A genius miracle doctor like her is always elusive–someone you might not be able to hire even with money.
Now that they had the chance to witness her in person, everyone was excited.
It was like waiting for a celebrity to arrive.
He was always the one others had to wait for, and this was the first time Draven waited for someone, so his patience was naturally lacking. At this moment, his expression already carried the gloom of an impending storm.
Time ticked by, second after second. Draven’s thin lips pressed tightly together. Seeing this, the people around him kept glancing anxiously at the entrance, desperately hoping the miracle doctor would suddenly appear.
One of the doctors who had been present yesterday had already looked down on Cassia from the start, feeling she was just putting on a show. So young, yet speaking with such arrogance- he came today solely to watch the joke.
Seeing that Cassia still hadn’t arrived, he sneered inwardly. Could it be that she had lost her nerve? Realised she had no confidence and didn’t dare show up?
Heh. He knew it. What miracle doctor? All lies.
So he said mockingly, “It’s already almost 10:30 a.m. Why isn’t the miracle doctor here yet? Don’t tell me she’s messing with us.”
Someone responded, “Exactly. She said she’d come at 10, and now it’s half an hour past. Honestly, can that little girl from yesterday really perform heart surgery? I truly have my doubts.”

“She wouldn’t dare not come. Think about it, who would have the guts to fool Mr. Grey? Isn’t that basically asking to die?”
That made sense. Indeed, it was true.
Everything for the surgery was already prepared. Everything was ready, and only the miracle doctor was missing.
Draven’s face had darkened to an extreme degree.
His subordinates, seeing this, quickly made another call to Seven, but still no one answered. Everyone looked at each other, confused and unsure what was happening.
Noticing Draven’s expression, the subordinates began sweating nervously.
Just as everyone was burning with anxiety, a crisp voice came from not far away. “I’m here.”
Everyone turned around and saw an eighteen–year–old girl walking toward them with light, quick steps.
She wore a white T–shirt and smoky–gray jeans, with small leather boots on her feet. Her legs were slender, straight, and well–proportioned. She walked rather quickly.
“Sorry, I’m a little late,” Cassia said calmly.
Draven’s subordinates all widened their eyes in disbelief. “You’re the miracle doctor?”
It was the same question again, and Cassia couldn’t even be bothered to answer it anymore.
Still, she politely nodded.
Everyone was stunned. Their gazes were filled with doubt.
Was this not a joke? It didn’t look like it.
Cassia seemed steady and composed. It did not seem like she was messing around at all.
But she was just a high school girl; what medical skills could she possibly have? Did she think performing surgery was as simple as slicing a watermelon? Wasn’t this nonsense?
The shock Draven felt upon seeing her was no less than the others.
He looked at the girl in front of him. She no longer had the immaturity of a student; instead, she carried a calmness and composure that couldn’t be ignored.

He raised his gaze, the corner of his thin lips curving into a faint smile. “Heh, interesting.”
He had already felt she was different from other girls. Now, it seemed she truly was extraordinary.
To him, she was a mystery–no, a treasure.
He was becoming more and more interested, eager to uncover her depths.
A high school girl was boldly telling a group of medical experts that she would be leading the surgery. Of course, everyone would feel complicated emotions.
But facts were facts, and she was just that astonishing.
Cassia walked over to Draven. This wasn’t their first time meeting. She greeted him confidently, “Mr. Grey, hello. Sorry for the long wait. There was a small accident on the way just now.”
Normally, Cassia couldn’t be bothered to explain anything, but seeing so many people waiting for her, she felt a bit apologetic.
Draven nodded. In truth, he was a little excited. Something deep inside him, long dormant, seemed to stir. He furrowed his brows slightly and asked, “Are you confident?”
He didn’t know why, but he trusted her from the bottom of his heart unconditionally. This question was merely a formality.
Cassia pressed her lips lightly together, then answered, “I’m ninety percent confident. Of course, since Mr. Ned is advanced in age, unforeseen complications could occur during the
my best.” surgery, and no one can predict that. But I will do
Her words had a calming power, and she spoke with unmistakable confidence.
Then Cassia turned to the nurses and said, “Bring me Mr. Ned’s previous test results.”
