Chapter 73 Dr Limbaugh
The nurse hesitated, unsure what to do.
After all, the patient’s medical records were private, so if she wasn’t a doctor, they really couldn’t be shown to her.
The nurse’s eyes carried a hint of disdain, her movements slow and dismissive.
Cassia frowned slightly.
“Give it to her.” Draven saw this and ordered without hesitation. “From now on, everyone must fully cooperate with Dr. Wood to ensure the surgery goes smoothly.”
Hearing the big boss say this, the other doctors were extremely curious. In fact, they didn’t really know what was so impressive about the miracle doctor in front of them.
Her previous legendary feats had been recounted meticulously, making her sound almost mythical, but now that they saw her in person, it really seemed hard to believe.
Still, for Draven to trust someone this much was truly rare.
One of the department heads couldn’t hold back and asked, “Dr. Wood, did you bring any assistants? Where are they?”
Usually, a chief surgeon would have a team, so that during surgery, they could work in sync.
Seeing her alone now, he couldn’t help but ask.
Honestly, if she went in alone, even though they were all expert–level doctors, they wouldn’t lower themselves to assist her–wouldn’t that make them a laughingstock?
Cassia kept her head down, flipping through the examination reports and completely ignoring his question.
But to everyone else, this looked like arrogance.
The person asking was the head of a department, and she treated him so dismissively.
“Dr. Wood, your assistant isn’t the same age as you, is he? Still a student, perhaps? This surgery is extremely complex, and there’s no room for carelessness.” Another doctor beside him chimed in.
Everyone present grew worried. This wasn’t a joke. If something went wrong, the entire

Draven glanced at Cassia. Seeing her calm and confident demeanor, he felt an unexpected sense of reassurance.
The hospital director noticed she remained silent, assuming she had no assistant. He spoke up, “Dr. Wood, I trust your expertise, but this surgery is very complicated. How about I assign several senior surgeons to assist you?”
The director thought he had made a thoughtful arrangement. But Cassia, without looking up, replied, “They should be arriving soon. Thank you, but that won’t be necessary.”
Her words were polite enough, but the director’s face turned blotchy–red in some areas, pale in others. He had offered a good suggestion, yet she arrogantly refused. Hmph, let’s see how that
turns out.
As they were speaking, a few people approached from a short distance away.
Each radiated a strong presence as they walked toward Cassia.
“Cassia, finally, we get to see you!” said an older person, surprised and delighted upon seeing Cassia.
The others crowded around as well.
“Isn’t that the nationally recognized doctor with a PhD? I’ve seen him on TV before! He’s incredible!”
“Yeah, that’s Dr. Limbaugh! He’s my idol!”
The nearby doctors all exclaimed in amazement.
The director rushed forward to greet them, “Dr. Limbaugh, welcome! Why didn’t you notify us in advance? I could have arranged for someone to pick you up. It’s an honor to have you here at our hospital.”
“Haha, you’re too kind. I’m not the main character today. I’m here to assist Cassia. I wouldn’t dare show off in front of her.” Dr. Limbaugh said with a smile.
“What? Assist?” The director thought he had heard the joke of the year. A full–fledged PhD serving as an assistant?
That was unheard of!
“Yes, there’s an important surgery today. I’m here to assist the young lady.” Dr. Limbaugh

didn’t see anything wrong with this at all.
The director was so stunned he couldn’t speak. Could it really be as he thought?
It felt surreal. Something like this had never happened before.
“Dr. Limbaugh, what’s going on?” The director could barely ask.
“Haha, exactly as you thought.” Dr. Limbaugh replied nonchalantly.
