Chapter 80 Surpassed the Honors Class
The students paused their activities and all turned their heads, eyes fixed on Cassia, who was lying on her desk resting, while they were whispering among themselves.
“So Cassia just guessed her way through on the last test? It was just luck?”
“Ugh, why is life so unfair? When will I ever get lucky enough to be first in the whole grade?”
“Haha, just admit that you want to sleep in class every day like Cassia! No need to beat around the bush.”
“Hehe, so Cassia’s from the countryside? No wonder… How could a country bumpkin be a top student? Looks like last time was really just luck.”
It started again.
Cassia sighed helplessly, sat up straight, and her eyes, cold as frost, squinted at Danica, who was still chattering away.
“Please be quiet.”
Cassia controlled her temper and uttered the sentence in a seemingly polite tone.
Even so, the students watching all drew a sharp breath.
They could already tell Cassia was a little displeased.
Danica, after all, was the Wood heiress, and she was not stupid. Of course, she could sense Cassia’s irritation.
Though Danica saw Cassia’s icy and intimidating gaze shooting straight at her, that was exactly the effect she wanted.
Danice was thrilled that Cassia was pissed.
Most of the classmates still leaned slightly toward Danica, so she continued her taunting, “What’s the big deal? You just guessed your way to the first place! Afraid someone will talk? You won’t be that lucky on the final exam! Just wait to be expelled! First place will always be Brie’s!”
Cassia only wanted peace. Last night, she had stayed up drawing a few doodles, planning to catch up on sleep during class, but now Danica was interrupting her.

Hearing Danica’s words, Cassia only found it amusing.

She responded with mild irony, “Is that so? Then you’d better go congratulate your dear Brie properly later.”
Cassia’s sarcasm was highly skilled. With Danica’s current way of thinking, she didn’t understand what Cassia meant.
But Danica thought, What does this country bumpkin mean? “Congratulate my dear Brie,” sounded like admitting Brie would get first place, but the tone didn’t quite fit.
She must be admitting it, but she’s just flustered and started babbling nonsense.
Yes, that must be it.
Danica thought this and put on a smug smile. “Hmph, it’s good that you get it, country bumpkin. Just wait! Hmph!”
She really thought she had finally embarrassed Cassia in front of the class and got a victory over her, not realizing Cassia didn’t even take her seriously.
As for what Cassia said, when the results were announced, it would all become clear.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
The class bell rang. Lilian walked in, holding a large stack of graded test papers and student report cards, humming the latest popular tune.
Cassia heard it and thought it sounded familiar.
She listened carefully, and it was the accompaniment for Zach’s latest released song!
No wonder it felt so familiar!
Hearing her own music here felt novel to Cassia.
The other students, however, didn’t notice what song Lilian was humming. Even if they did, they were distracted by the teacher’s current expression.
“Why does Ms. Reed look so happy?”
“Ever since Ms. Reed took over our class, I’ve rarely seen her smile this much. What happened?”
“Could it be… Did our class’s average score surpass the honors class?”

“Impossible! You’ve been daydreaming too much!”

While the students were curious about Lilian’s excitement, she had already reached the podium and placed the papers and report cards on it.
“Class, today I have good news for you all!”
“What good news, Ms. Reed?”
Sixty–plus pairs of eyes stared at Lilian curiously, but not Cassia’s.
She was still lying on her desk, catching up on sleep.
Seeing the students so enthusiastic filled Lilian, as a teacher, with a sense of satisfaction and pride. But seeing Cassia asleep at her desk immediately diminished that feeling by more than half.
Oh well, considering she’s brought honor to herself, I won’t fuss too much over this little girl, Lilian sighed, gathered herself, and then smiled at the students.
“The good news is that our class’s average score has finally surpassed the honors class taught by Ms. Parker!”
The students in the class exploded with excitement.
“Who? Who raised our class average?”
Who could have raised the class’s average score?
Danica was also extremely puzzled.
Selena’s honors class, of course, was Brie’s class.
Brie’s class always had the highest average score in the grade. This time, surpassing them meant that the advanced class’s average score had become first in the grade?
