Cassia held her phone with both hands, and her fingers danced over the screen with a speed that looked inhuman. It was as if she shaped cach sentence with the precision of someone cutting gemstones.
Across the city, the atmosphere was frantic.
“M… M M… Mr. Grey, please stop. Please stop right now!” Seven lunged toward Draven like he was trying to catch a priceless sculpture before it shattered.
Draven raised a brow with cool amusement.
“It is only fifteen million.”
Seven stared at him in mute despair.
I don’t even know where to start with this.
Only fifteen million. He might as well donate his entire soul next.
Seven still respected him, even if he wanted to scream into the void.
“Mr. Grey, you really should slow down. A few million is nothing for you, but that kind of money is a thunderbolt to a normal author. You will terrify her so much that her hands start shaking. They might shake so hard that she cannot even write.”
Draven paused. Seven’s warning did make sense. He set his phone to the side.
“When do you think she will post a new update?” Draven asked.
“Uh…”
Seven panicked inside.
I am not the author. I have no idea.
Still, he kept his tone smooth. “Mr. Grey, you donated so much. You need to let her calm down. She will come back in a moment and write like she just swallowed pure caffeine.”
Draven frowned a little.
If he had known the amount would shock her, he would have shown some restraint.

At that moment, a soft gasp floated across the classroom hall.
“Danica, her hand,” Tyne whispered.
“What about her hand?” Danica snapped as she turned.

Cassia stood outside with one hand tucked in her uniform pocket while the other tapped her
screen.
Her typing hand moved in a blur. It looked like a magician flicking a deck of cards into the air.
No ordinary person could type that fast.
Danica knew ten of her typing together could not reach that velocity.
Cassia was not a simple phone user. She was a luxury–grade phone machine.
But Danica hated her, so praise was not an option.
“Please. That speed must have kept her sugar daddy very satisfied.”
The bell rang for the end of class. The sound echoed through the hallway like a wave rolling across a quiet lake.
Cassia walked back into the room with her phone in hand. She took her seat and published the two new chapters she had finished moments earlier.
At that same second, Draven’s phone screen lit up. He lifted his gaze from the pile of documents on his desk and looked at the alert.
He had only one web novel in his entire collection.
Fallen of the Massacre had an update.
Draven picked up his phone, and a slow smile touched his lips. He opened the chapter and read with the calm pleasure of a man savoring a rare vintage wine.
He finished it in one minute. It was far too short for him, yet even one new chapter of this masterpiece felt like a luxury.
When he reached the end, Draven left a single message beneath the update.
“I look forward to your next update.”
Cassia released the new chapters and left her dashboard at once, so she never noticed Draven’s

comment.
She walked back into the classroom and moved toward her scat, and a small drama decided to unfold in front of everyone.
Danica saw Cassia approach. A smug, cager look flashed across her face.
As Cassia got closer, Danica slid her foot forward in a quiet, deliberate motion.
Her intention was crystal clear. She wanted Cassia to trip.
If Cassia fell in front of the whole class, it’d be premium entertainment for Danica.
Cassia’s gaze drifted toward her desk.
Lilian had once offered her a seat in the front row. Her grades were outstanding, so she could choose any of the first three desks.
Cassia had turned it down.
She liked where she was. It kept her hidden. It let her sleep. It kept other people away from her, and it kept her from getting involved in anything unnecessary.
Her luck was perfect today. She sat in the last row by the window, and warm winter sunlight pooled across her desk like soft gold.
Her eyes lowered slightly, and she noticed the leg jutting into her path.
Of course. Danica wanted trouble again.
Cassia had a simple rule.
