Suddenly, Stella let out a sharp hiss of pain, her small hand flying to her stomach.

Abraham’s expression tightened instantly. “What’s wrong?”

“The baby… they’re kicking.”

Stella’s face crumpled in pain. Abraham could see her belly bulging and shifting–the movements were unusually aggressive.

Watching the agony on her small face, Abraham’s expression darkened. He placed a warm palm over her abdomen and spoke in a stern, authoritative voice: “Behave yourselves!”

He wasn’t just being serious; he was being threatening. Carrying triplets meant Stella’s belly was enormous, making her far more uncomfortable than a typical expectant mother. If the little ones weren’t well–behaved and kept thrashing around, it truly caused her sharp pain. Sometimes they even kicked her awake in the middle of the night.

Abraham was particularly displeased by this and often got up in the dead of night to scold the unborn children.

Seeing how stern he was being, Stella felt a surge of maternal protectiveness. “Don’t be so mean to the babies. Be careful, or they won’t like you when they come out.”

“I don’t need them to like me,” Abraham replied.

Abraham: “What is it?”

Elena had just seen one of the girl babies kick another baby in the face, only for the second one to kick right back. She shook her head with a smile. “Don’t worry, they’re fine. They’re just fighting for territory.”

She carefully examined the images. The three babies were perfectly healthy with no signs of umbilical cord complications. They were simply taking turns lunging and kicking at each other’s faces!

Abraham: “…”

Elena checked the fetal heart rates and found everything to be perfect. She nodded. “Yes. Space is already limited during pregnancy, and since you’re carrying triplets, they’re quite cramped. When they feel like they don’t have enough room, they start to fight for it.”
