"Shh." Zane Whitaker pressed his index finger against her lips, gently setting her down from his waist.
Elara Vance felt a jolt of panic, staring at him in uncertainty.
Zane soothingly rubbed her back, leaning in to whisper against her ear. "Her mouth is covered, too. There are two of them out there."
"What do we do?" Elara mouthed silently.
"Wait it out," he mouthed back.
It had been so long since they'd last seen each other, and Zane couldn't resist pulling her into his arms. Even just holding her like this was enough.
But the proximity made her hyper-aware of his arousal.
Elara flushed crimson, staying perfectly quiet.
A sheep pen was built to contain sheep, not a wolf.
Zane was a wolf who held all the cards. To him, morality was merely a tool, never a shackle, and it certainly couldn't be used to judge him.
He grabbed her wrist and unzipped his trousers.
Elara gasped softly, but he didn't let go, guiding her hand to give him what he needed.
Left with no choice, she wrapped her free arm around his back and buried her face in the crook of his neck, too flustered to look at him.
"Does the thrill get to you?" Zane whispered in her ear.
Elara held her breath, refusing to answer, just wanting it to be over quickly.
Zane gripped her hand, controlling the pace. If it hadn't been for that sudden gasp outside, they would have been completely finished in five minutes tops.
He didn't necessarily have to push things this far, but her moral compass was set so rigidly high that she rarely let herself fully let go and enjoy the passion between them.
To Elara, it felt like an eternity had passed, though it was only a few minutes.
Zane zipped himself back up. Things were a bit messy and uncomfortable, but at least he looked presentable.
There was still no movement from the people outside, so he shrugged off his suit jacket.
