Chapter 191
The sports car tore through the streets, screeching to a halt at Northside Central Hospital
Vivian Fairchild rested her luminous, perfectly manicured hand casually on the steering wheel, her knuckles tapping out a slow, rhythmic beat.
She didn’t even have to say a word; just a single, sidelong glance was enough to make Amara flinch and shrink back into her seat.
After that terrifying, breakneck drive, she wouldn’t dare provoke this woman-at least not right now. Vivian clearly had a death wish.
For Vivian, the adrenaline rush of the extreme speed had acted as a release valve for her suffocating tension.
She had finally calmed down.
Her piercing gaze lingered on Amara for a moment before she spoke in a cool, detached tone. “Call Jonah. Find out where he is.”
“1…”
“Call him!”
Amara dug her nails into her palms. “Don’t think you can use me to threaten him. He won’t answer my calls anyway.”
Oh.
How loyal.
A scoff danced in Vivian’s eyes as she simply reached over and snatched Amara’s designer bag.
“Vivian, what are you doing! Give it back!”
Amara lunged.
Vivian casually lifted her arm, dodging the attempt with zero effort. Her voice was completely devoid of emotion.
“Amara, I honestly thought playing with you was just a way to kill time. I never expected that you and your precious Jonah had pulled off something so massive right under my nose… Tell me, shouldn’t I grant your wish and let you two be star-crossed lovers?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, but if you dare hurt me… they won’t let you get away with it!”
They, meaning Jonah Granger and Dominic Fairchild.

Chapter 191
Those two were supposed to be the closest people in Vivian’s life.
Instead, time and time again, they had pushed her to the brink of ruin, all for the sake of a daughter born to a mistress.
A storm of rage brewed in Vivian’s lowered eyes, but she masked it flawlessly, not letting a single ounce of it bleed through.
Amara was too panicked to notice her expression anyway. Right now, she wanted nothing more than for Vivian to drop dead on the spot.
In the span of a few seconds, Vivian successfully unlocked the phone.
“How… how did you do that?”
“Was it supposed to be hard?”
Vivian shot her a side-eye. “With your brain, did you really think you could come up with a complex password?”
“Give it back!”
“If you’re completely useless, at least save your breath and stop screaming.”
Vivian opened the keypad and, without even having to search for the contact, tapped out the number from memory and hit dial.
The ringing echoed loudly, striking a nerve in Amara’s chest. In that moment, she completely forgot to fight back. Deep down, she wanted to see how Jonah would react. Would he… seek revenge on Vivian for her sake?
“Hello?”
A clear, refined voice came through the speaker.
Vivian shot Amara a look, knowing the girl wouldn’t dare speak. She took the initiative herself. “Where are you?”
Jonah paused, clearly caught off guard that she was calling from Amara’s phone. “Vivian? Are you with Amara?”
“Yeah, she’s about to die.”
Vivian kept her tone light and conversational, though her fingers were tapping rapidly against the steering wheel. “Did Dr. Granger not understand what I just said? Where are you?”
