The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 231

Chapter 231

Vivian walked naturally to the man’s side, tilting her head up to look at him.

Her eyes were full of laughter. “When did you get here? Why didn’t you tell me?”

“If I didn’t tell you, wouldn’t you just not know?”

“Of course I didn’t know, but it’s a pleasant surprise.”

The woman quietly hooked her finger around his. This small gesture carried the innocent thrill of high school sweethearts. If it were any other man, he would have fallen for her a thousand times over by

now.

Audrey looked at them in utter disgust, feeling an inexplicable sense of frustration at Vivian’s choices.

“Vivian, right? Are you that desperate for a man?”

“Nope.”

Vivian turned to face her directly. “I’m just desperate for Silas Sterling.”

“No one else will do?”

“Absolutely no one.”

It had to be Silas.

Audrey pressed her tongue against her teeth, her gaze sweeping over the couple in front of her. It was as if some competitive fire had been ignited within her. “Let me tell you, Silas, I’m declaring war. Starting today, I’m going to pursue this Fairchild woman and make her mine!”

Vivian wasn’t the only one stunned.

Even Silas, who rarely showed any emotion, raised a slight eyebrow.

“And how, exactly, do you plan on pursuing her?”

“With that attitude of yours, it’s obvious you have no idea how to treat a woman.”

Audrey scoffed, marching right over and grabbing Vivian’s hand, pulling her closer. “Pursuing her is easy. I can give her whatever she wants, and I can be with her all the time. Even if she wants to find other men, I can help her look!”

Silas gave a half-smile, pausing before speaking, his words measured. “Then, I wish you luck.”

He turned and walked away.

Vivian wanted to follow him, but Audrey tugged on her arm. “Look at how he acts. Do you really still want to be with him?”

“What else am I supposed to do?” Vivian smiled radiantly, her face as flawless as a painting in the sunlight, her true emotions completely hidden. “Be with you? Unfortunately, I’m strictly into men.

Chapter 231

What a shame.”

“You…!”

Audrey looked like she had just swallowed a lemon.

She truly couldn’t understand what was so great about Silas.

Judging by his terrible personality when they were kids, even if he had changed, he still couldn’t be a good person!

Memories of being bullied by him in their childhood flooded her mind. She hadn’t even gotten her revenge yet; she absolutely could not concede defeat!

Audrey ran a hand through her hair and quickly hurried after him.

But after searching the area, there was no sign of Silas.

Instead, she spotted that Fairchild woman holding a glass of champagne, chatting with a famous

director.

“Miss Fairchild, your performance earlier was truly outstanding. Have you ever considered entering the entertainment industry? If you have, I’d love to discuss a potential partnership. With your looks, making a name for yourself wouldn’t be an issue at all.”

“The issue is that I have absolutely no interest in becoming a star.”
