The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 241

Chapter 241

“If you really want to, fine. Who minds having an extra lapdog panting after them?”

“But a good dog knows its place. Don’t go getting any ideas and delaying my actual business.”

With that, she turned and left.

This time, Jonah Granger didn’t try to stop her.

A gust of wind blew past, ruffling the hair on his forehead. His once sharp and noble features now carried a rare trace of despair.

Vivian…

What did he have to do to get back what he had lost?

Vivian went back upstairs and glanced out the window. The car was still parked at the entrance. The man leaned against the window, smoking a cigarette, his gaze fixed intensely in her direction.

She scoffed softly. He sure had perseverance.

Let him stay if he wanted.

Once property management noticed or Silas Sterling came home, he wasn’t going to have a good time anyway.

Vivian clicked her tongue in amusement, turned around, and lay down on the sofa, unlocking her phone.

She casually scrolled through a social media app when an ad for matching couple’s pajamas popped

Although the base color was black, it was covered in playful doodles of cats and dogs-a childish but lively design.

Silas… probably wouldn’t wear something like this, would he?

Vivian licked her lips, a wicked gleam of amusement flashing in her eyes.

She had long suspected that the man’s eyesight had fully recovered. If he still wanted to play blind,

then he shouldn’t be able to see the ridiculous print anyway… Clothes were just clothes, right?

Without hesitation, Vivian clicked the link and ordered two sets in their respective sizes.

The night grew late.

The flight from Newport to Northside wouldn’t land until past eleven.

Vivian stifled a yawn. Just as she was about to move to her bed, she remembered the man waiting downstairs. She peeked through the gap in the curtains-he was actually still there.

Her brows furrowed imperceptibly. She genuinely couldn’t understand what wire had crossed in his brain.

But there was one thing Vivian couldn’t figure out.

Chapter 241

Even knowing that she was purposefully disgusting him, he still refused to give up on Amara Fairchild?

A thoughtful glint crossed her eyes as she leaned against the headboard and texted Zoe Hunt: Look into exactly what happened between Jonah and Amara. I want to know why he cares about her so

much.

Information was power, after all.

Honestly, Vivian was genuinely curious.

She didn’t know what time Silas came home. When she woke up the next morning, the room was empty. After freshening up and heading downstairs, she found the man dressed immaculately in the dining room, having already finished his breakfast.

“Why didn’t you wake me?”

She walked over, sat down beside him, and casually picked up his water glass for a sip.

The man’s expression darkened. “I drank from that.”

“I don’t mind your germs.”
