Chapter 254
Vivian looped one arm around his neck, using her other hand to pull at the hem of his shirt tucked into his trousers.
A sharp slap landed on the back of her hand.
She gasped.
“What was that for? Did you just hit me?” Her eyes were wide with dramatic disbelief.
“Did you not deserve it?” Silas showed zero remorse, though he didn’t seem particularly angry either. “It’s fine when a woman acts coy, but overdo it, and it just gets annoying. Understand?”
“So, am I annoying you?”
At some point, Vivian had raised her hand again, her fingers aimlessly playing with his earlobe. The gesture was intimate and effortlessly seductive.
“I don’t think so. You seem to be enjoying it well enough.”
She licked her lips, her gaze dripping with enough sensual tension to snap a wire. “Do you get this kind of feeling when you’re with Grace?”
The subtle tightening of the man’s brow was barely perceptible, but Vivian knew he was displeased.
A golden girl was always a golden girl, after all.
Untouchable. Uncriticizable.
Even if they never ended up together, she had left an indelible mark on his heart, one that would never
fade.
Vivian didn’t press for an answer. She puckered her perfectly painted lips. “Here, kiss me.”
Silas’s eyes flickered. “Are you out of your mind?”
“Kiss me, and I’ll leave you alone. Hurry up.”
The man let out a heavy exhale through his nose.
Knowing full well she would keep pestering him if he didn’t indulge her, Silas ground his teeth. His hand hooked around the back of her head-lacking any gentleness-and he kissed her hard.
Amusement danced in Vivian’s eyes. A second before he tried to pull away, she bit his bottom lip. Sensing the instinctive parting of his mouth, she slipped her tongue inside.
She took the lead, deepening the kiss.
Her hands firmly gripped his shirt, slipping through the gaps between the buttons.
The reason men were considered slaves to their primal instincts was that certain nerves were incredibly easy to trigger. A physiological reaction was inevitable.
Whether they could control it in the end or not, the process was undeniable.

Chapter 254
Vivian could clearly feel the changes in his body.
His temperature spiked rapidly, the heat practically scorching her fingertips.
As the temperature in the study steadily climbed, Silas’s clothes were hopelessly wrinkled beneath her aggressive hands. Peeks of the hard muscle underneath were exposed, enough to make anyone’s pulse race.
“Mmh…”
Silas gripped her shoulders with both hands and pushed her away.
The woman in his arms was still dazed with desire, leaning in to peck his lips over and over.
“Enough.” His voice was impossibly gravelly. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When they snapped open again, the lust hadn’t faded, replaced by an intoxicating, hopelessly heavy sensuality.
