The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 302

Chapter 302

Indeed, Grace was never one to suffer in silence.

If the other party had been unreasonable, she would have gone for the jugular. But the truth was… she was the one who had missed the shooting schedule first.

Grace pressed her lips together, her voice stiffening after a moment. “Silas, do you really trust her that much?”

Vivian’s hand slipped beneath his shirt.

Silas’s breathing grew heavy. “Is there anything else?”

Silence hung on the line.

Grace gripped her phone tightly. He was actually this impatient with her!

Two seconds passed.

Silas hung up on her.

His dark, cold gaze shifted to the woman in his arms. She happened to look up at him, beaming as she planted a kiss on his cheek.

“Good boy. Here’s a reward.”

Silas was speechless.

He didn’t even flinch. If anything, his eyes grew colder as he stared at her. “What did you do to Grace?”

“What do you mean? I didn’t do anything.”

Vivian pouted.

“I thought your reaction meant you were over her, but you still care? Kiss me!”

The last two words were fiercely demanding.

Silas glanced at her pouting lips. “What for?”

“I’m taking back my reward. Give it back!”

He gave her a blank look.

Silas pressed his lips together, his scrutinizing gaze raking over her. After a long moment, he stood up without a word.

“Where are you going?”

His little shadow immediately clung to his leg.

“You’re not going to see Grace, are you? I forbid it!”

She spoke with such righteous conviction, acting as if she had every right to control him-and the power to do so.

“Princess,” Silas closed his eyes tightly. “I’m going to take a shower.”

“…Oh.”

*You should have just said so.*

Vivian let go and even smoothed out the wrinkles in his trousers, gazing up at him with utter sincerity. “Need me to scrub your back or something?”

Silas didn’t bother replying. He let out a deep breath and strode into the bathroom.

By the time he finished showering, she was already tucked under the covers, looking as though she had fallen asleep.

Barely a minute passed.

The moment he lifted the blanket and got in, she latched onto him.

“Behave, and I’ll hold you while we sleep. If you move around again, you know exactly how I’ll deal with you.”

Vivian wrapped her arms around his waist, pressing her body flush against his.

Her voice reverberated through him, intoxicatingly sweet.

“How are you going to deal with me?”

She looked up, her eyes practically sparkling. “Kiss me to death? Or… completely ruin me in bed?”

Silas clicked his tongue, unable to hold back a faint chuckle. “Vivian…”

He was both exasperated and amused. “Are you even a woman?”

“Am I? Don’t you know?”

Vivian dragged her fingers across his back, sighing dramatically. “I should be asking you that. I’ve used every trick in the book. When are you finally going to sleep with me?”

“Do you really want it that bad?”

“Yeah! Very much.”
