The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 313

Chapter 313

Vivian instinctively tried to cover herself, but the blankets were pinned underneath them, leaving her grasping at thin air.

For the first time, a wave of awkwardness washed over her, mixed with an unbearable, burning heat. She reached out and patted his lower back. “What are you doing… you…”

“Fuck!”

Did he just curse?

Vivian froze for a second, then watched as he rolled off and sat up.

He looked back at her with a gaze so fierce it could kill, groaning in sheer frustration, “Vivian, who on earth sent you to torture me?”

“…What?”

Vivian sat up too. “What’s wrong with me?”

“Look for yourself!”

She followed his gaze downward, and her mind completely short-circuited!

How could her period start right at this exact moment?!

This was an absolute disaster!

That night, Silas didn’t sleep in the master bedroom.

When Vivian finally woke up and went downstairs, he was already sitting at the dining table, impeccably dressed and eating breakfast, showing not a single trace of his loss of control from the night before.

Martha had finished cooking and gone out to water the flowers in the yard. The dining room

was quiet, save for the occasional clink of silverware.

Vivian pulled out a chair, sat down, and took a sip of her milk.

The way she looked at Silas was filled with undisguised resentment.

The man continued eating his oatmeal at a leisurely pace, not even glancing her way.

Vivian stirred her spoon and muttered, “Why are you giving me attitude? It’s not like I can control when my cycle starts. I’ll make it up to you when it’s over…”

Chapter 313

Before she could finish, the man let out a heavy sigh through his nose.

He put down his spoon, clearly having zero desire to discuss this.

In his twenty-eight years of life, he had never lost control the way he did last night.

He looked up, his dark eyes locking onto the woman across from him. “If eating can’t shut your mouth, then on your way out today, swing by a tailor and have it sewn shut.”

This infuriating jerk!

Vivian ground her teeth. “Silas, we’re married, do you understand? It was your grandfather’s order to make us a real couple as soon as possible. Why do you always act like you’re the one getting the short end of the stick? Let me tell you, I have a temper too!”

Silas’s expression was cold as he stared at her for a moment.

Then, he spoke in a chilling tone.

“I remember making things perfectly clear before we tied the knot. Did you hit your head?”

He was right.

He had said this marriage was just a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Vivian pursed her lips. “You were the one who wanted a contract marriage, not me. Aren’t you worried I’ll go public with my identity?”

“You are more than welcome to try.”

He grabbed a napkin and wiped his mouth with elegant grace.

“I can marry you, and I can destroy you. If you think you’re so capable, it’s only because I allow it. Otherwise, do you really think anyone could get away with acting this recklessly

around me?”

Vivian tossed her spoon aside. “Silas, you are so annoying!”

“Eat your breakfast.”
