The meal ended in total chaos. Silas barely spoke, and the entire dining room was filled with the contrasting voices of the two women bickering.
After eating, Scarlett stood up, walked over to Silas, and grabbed his arm.
"Silas, drive me home."
"..."
Vivian immediately slapped her hand away. "You're the Sinclair heiress, don't you have a driver? Tell your own people to come pick you up. Don't even think about bossing my man around!"
"Your man, your man. Has he ever publicly acknowledged you?"
The moment Scarlett said those words, two intense gazes locked onto her simultaneously.
"..." Damn it, these two monsters!
She gritted her teeth. "Vivian, I'm perfectly single right now. I don't even have a guy around me. If you've got guts, don't compete over men with me—let's compare family backgrounds!"
"Does your dad know you spend all day whining about other people's boyfriends?"
"You bitch...!"
"What, you want to go another round?"
These two assholes were completely in sync. Scarlett wasn't stupid enough to fight a losing battle. She coldly scoffed, "I can't be bothered to stoop to your level, but if you don't explain yourself clearly, I'm never letting this go!"
"You're blaming others for your own stupidity?"
"What exactly is your relationship with Zane Chase?"
"What is my relationship with him... His fiancée doesn't even have a problem with it. Who are you? Is it any of your business?"
Scarlett choked again, taking a deep breath.
"I dated him, after all. I just can't stand seeing you entangled with him!"
"..."
The verbal sparring between the two women was endless, trading insults and twisted logic back and forth.
Amidst the noise on either side, Silas sat calmly in his seat, his gaze tranquil as he took a sip of water.
For over two decades, his world had followed strict rules. He knew exactly what he should and shouldn't do, his life as quiet as a solitary universe. But lately, it seemed that black-and-white existence had been splashed with color—noisy, irritating, yet incredibly vibrant and real.
After what felt like an eternity, it finally stopped.
Scarlett was panting, her hands on her hips, her eyes practically shooting fire.
