Chapter 71
Zoe Hunt shook her head. “I don’t know him.”
Vivian Fairchild felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her and closed her eyes again. “Let’s just go. We’re going to be late.”
The advertising budget for this campaign was massive, enough to hire A-list celebrities.
Astra Media needed to iron out all the script details before bringing the talent in for the shoot.
When they arrived at the studio, a magazine photoshoot was in full swing.
“Move, move… out of the way!”
A man in an outrageously flashy outfit shoved past Zoe and Vivian, glaring at them impatiently. “I said to clear the set! Why are there still people blocking the way? No photos, no autographs today-I’ve said it a million times!”
Zoe’s brows shot up. “Excuse me…”
“Forget it.”
Vivian pulled her back, her expression perfectly calm. “They’re big celebrities. It’s to be expected. But with a commotion this huge… who is it?”
A young production assistant leaned in, whispering, “Who else could it be? Grace Gifford. Someone from The Sterling Family has been funding her rise to the A-list for years. Now she walks around like she owns the place.”
Grace… Gifford?
What a coincidence.
She just had to step outside to run into her ‘fiancé’s’ favorite woman.
“Yep, that’s her.” The young woman pushed up her glasses, her voice dripping with resentment. “Just because she said she couldn’t wake up this morning, all of us have to work overtime. Who knows how late we’ll be shooting tonight.”
She hurried off with a massive pile of clothes, the long skirts bundled up so high they almost swallowed her whole to keep the fabric off the floor.
Vivian stood there for a moment.
She lifted her gaze and locked eyes with the woman standing under the blazing studio lights.
How to describe her?
The woman had a unique aura. She looked fragile, yet possessed a pair of sharp, brilliant

eyes. With her perfectly sculpted face, she was exactly the type men fell for-a flawless mix of innocent and seductive.
Grace tilted her head slightly, and from the movement of her lips, it looked like she was asking her entourage who Vivian was.
Zoe, who had personally handled the background checks, knew exactly who Grace Gifford
was, too.
“Miss Fairchild?”
“Let’s go. We have a job to do.”
Vivian withdrew her gaze and turned toward the production office.
The studio manager was reasonable. After hearing why they were there, he immediately arranged a meeting to go over the set schedules and shooting details.
By the time they finished the negotiations, it was already nightfall, and the studio was still working overtime.
Zoe glanced back toward the set. “Miss Fairchild, Miss Gifford is staring at you.”
Vivian let out a soft laugh. “Probably because I’m prettier than her.”
That was actually the truth.
Zoe studied Vivian’s breathtaking profile. It was the kind of striking, unparalleled beauty that could make even another woman’s heart skip a beat.
On the drive back, Vivian quietly watched the unfamiliar city lights blur past the window.
The window was rolled down just a crack, letting in a rush of warm air that teased the loose strands of hair framing her face. In that moment, there was a fleeting, almost fragile vulnerability to her.
Suddenly, her gaze locked onto something in the distance.
“Pull over.”
Confused, Zoe quickly steered the car to the curb.
