Chapter 73
Lounge One was a high-end nightclub that had skyrocketed in popularity over the last couple of years. The exclusive clientele flocked there for its ironclad privacy and top-tier security, and everyone who walked through the doors was dripping with serious wealth.
Pulling into the VIP parking lot felt like stepping into an exotic car show.
Vivian stepped out of her car, her gaze sweeping over a black Porsche Cayenne parked directly opposite her. For some inexplicable reason, it looked familiar.
Once they were inside, Zoe pulled out her phone and checked the screen.
“Miss Fairchild, Tristan Montgomery is at Booth 666.”
Vivian didn’t say a word, her eyes scanning the booth numbers as they navigated the crowded room.
She hadn’t spotted Tristan yet, but she did catch a glimpse of a very familiar profile.
A woman sat at the bar with her stunning legs crossed. Her sequined slip dress caught the neon lights, shimmering with every subtle movement.
Her long hair tumbled perfectly over her shoulders, and her makeup was flawless.
A crimson manicure highlighted her elegant hands, a cigarette delicately pinched between her index and middle fingers.
In anyone else’s eyes, she looked like an absolute siren, and Scarlett Sinclair certainly had the face to pull it off.
Even in the short time they stood there, countless men hovered nearby, staring at her with predatory interest but lacking the courage to actually make a move.
Zoe recognized her too and shot Vivian a questioning look.
“Miss Fairchild?”
Vivian chuckled softly. “It was too dark to get a good look at her yesterday. It seems the beautiful Ms. Sinclair treats this club like her second home.”
Without hesitating, she marched straight over and snatched the cigarette right out of the woman’s hand.
She crushed it out in the ashtray on the bar.
Scarlett opened her mouth to snap at the intruder, but her words died in her throat when she turned to see a face even more gorgeous than her own.
Her eyes lit up with recognition, though she still puffed her cheeks in mock annoyance. “What’s the big deal? Can’t a girl smoke?”

Chapter 73
“It’s bad for you.”
Those four simple words immediately deflated the rebellious woman. Scarlett couldn’t even figure it out herself-this was just some nameless girl she barely knew, so where did she get off having so much quiet authority?
Frowning slightly, Scarlett reached out and tipped Vivian’s chin up.
What a ridiculously stunning face.
She pouted. “Vivian, what gives you the right to talk to me like that? I’m Scarlett Sinclair. I have half the men and women in Northside terrified of me, you know.”
“I didn’t.”
Vivian’s expression didn’t even flicker. “And it’s none of my business.”
Even with Scarlett physically tipping her face up, Vivian somehow still felt like the one in charge.
Scarlett clicked her tongue and let go. “Whatever. I guess I’ll let it slide since I actually like you. You’re high maintenance, you know that?”
She threw an arm around Vivian’s shoulders. “Spill it. What are we doing tonight? Even if you want to buy out every guy in this place, it’s all on my tab.”
As the two of them walked together, they instantly drew the attention of the entire room, sparking a ripple of hushed whispers.
Scarlett was practically a local celebrity-gorgeous and filthy rich.
And the woman walking beside her was even more breathtaking.
Despite Scarlett’s endless chatter, Vivian wasn’t interested in partying. She was there on a mission and had zero intention of causing a scene.
Tristan was a major public figure; if anyone spotted him here, the whole club would turn into
a circus.
“Enough.”
