Chapter 75
Silas remained entirely unmoved, not even bothering to turn his head. His sharp jawline tightened. “I’ll have someone take you home.”
The heirs of true old-money families had all grown up together, forming a tight-knit circle. To Silas, Scarlett Sinclair was essentially a younger sister.
Albeit, an incredibly disobedient one.
Scarlett casually released the woman in her grip, crossed her arms, and leaned back against the wall.
“Are you trying to get rid of me so you can get cozy with this woman? Well, now I definitely can’t leave. You’re not allowed to touch her.”
A few bystanders had already been secretly watching the drama unfold, and her provocative words only amplified the thrill.
Two women fighting over one man. Classic.
Silas scoffed. “If I don’t touch her, should I touch you?”
“Sure, why not?”
A deathly silence stretched on for a long moment before Grace Gifford finally fluttered her eyelashes. She looked fragile and completely drained. “Silas… who is this woman? Is she your fiancée?”
Silas ignored the question. He reached up and pinched the bridge of his nose, hovering dangerously close to the edge of his temper.
Fortunately, Simon Young arrived just in time.
The moment Simon spotted Scarlett, he suppressed an inward groan.
She was the absolute terror of Northside’s high society; anyone who crossed her path was bound to have a terrible day.
“Mr. Sterling.”
“Call her driver and get her out of here,” Silas ordered. His long fingers tugged at the corner of Grace’s sleeve, pulling her away. Whether it was out of disgust or something else entirely, he managed to execute the movement with effortless grace.
Scarlett was genuinely surprised.
He wasn’t going to take her home himself?

Chapter 75
Then, alarm bells started ringing in her head. Given what she had just said, was this vengeful bastard planning to send Grace away just so he could deal with her in private?
What a petty jerk!
Silas paid Scarlett no mind, simply shoving the woman in his grip toward Simon.
It was a common saying that women were as pliable as water, and that was never more true than when they were drunk.
Grace was completely limp. The moment Simon grabbed her arm, she slumped forward, nearly collapsing onto the floor.
Left with no other choice, Simon had to scoop her up into his arms.
Scarlett peeked at Silas’s expression, pulling a wildly exaggerated face.
Oh my! Silas’s precious sweetheart was being carried off by his assistant!
If the man wasn’t completely blind, his assistant would probably be torn limb from limb by
now.
Simon struggled to catch his breath, lifting his head from the awkward tangle. “Mr. Sterling, I’ll drop Miss Gifford off at home and come back for you shortly.”
“Yeah.”
Silas’s face was an unreadable mask.
With the main actress gone, the lingering audience quickly lost interest and scattered. The scene was left empty save for Scarlett and the intimidatingly cold man.
Her eyes darted around the corridor as she slowly began to inch her way toward the exit.
Where the hell did Vivian go?
