Chapter 77
She took a deep breath, reaching past Scarlett to haul Tristan to his feet. “If you really want to do me a favor, help me shove this guy into the car. He’s shooting that commercial tomorrow whether he likes it or not.”
Tristan clearly hadn’t expected a woman to have that kind of strength. After being dragged a few feet, the arrogant smirk finally vanished from his face.
“Hey, hey, okay! I’ll shoot the damn thing, alright?”
“But you have to at least let me tell my manager!”
“Hello? Are you even listening to me?”
Vivian stopped in her tracks and glanced back at Zoe. “Book him a hotel room. Tell his manager to bring the glam squad there first thing in the morning to get him ready.”
She lowered her gaze to Tristan, her expression flat. “Does that schedule work for you?”
Tristan sighed. “Fine.”
He practically bit his tongue the second the word slipped out.
Damn it!
She looked like she couldn’t even lift a dumbbell, so how the hell was she leading him around by the nose like this?
Scarlett watched the exchange with absolute delight. Seeing this high-and-mighty, untamable superstar getting dragged around like a disobedient puppy was the most entertaining thing she’d seen all night.
She was just about to slide into the car after them when Vivian’s cool voice stopped her.
“I’ve got him now. You can head back to wherever you came from. See you around. Or… do you need me to call you a cab?”
Scarlett looked over her shoulder, then pointed to herself.
“Are you talking to me?”
“Is there anyone else here?”
“No way.” Scarlett yanked the door open and slid right into the backseat. “You can’t just use me and toss me aside! I’m definitely coming with you. Besides, if something goes wrong, I can help out, right?”
She was a Sinclair, after all. She had connections in every corner of this city.
Vivian just gave her a fleeting glance and let her be.

The car pulled away, heading straight for the hotel.
They had been driving for a while when Scarlett suddenly sat bolt upright. “Oh, crap. We left Silas back there. The guy’s blind-you don’t think something’s going to happen to him, do you?”
Vivian remained perfectly unfazed. “You seem pretty worried about him.”
“I wouldn’t call it ‘worried’.”
Scarlett shot her a look and slumped back against the leather seat. “You just don’t know him. The man holds a terrifying grudge. And at the end of the day, we did grow up together. I can’t completely leave him to rot.”
Still, she had just thoroughly offended him, and there was no way in hell she was going back there to serve herself up on a silver platter.
“Oh,” Vivian murmured. “Want me to pull over so you can get out?”
“I’m not getting out! Anyone else can get out!”
Scarlett scoffed, suddenly realizing that Vivian and Silas were cut from the exact same cloth. They were both completely insufferable!
Outside, the neon city lights blurred past the window in a flash of bright colors. Vivian stared out into the night, a distant, hazy look settling in her eyes.
Summer was already in the air. She wore a sleek, color-blocked dress in black and white that highlighted her slender figure. As the shifting streetlights washed over her features, it cast an undeniably stunning, almost seductive glow about her.
It was the kind of breathtaking beauty that made it impossible to look away.
Scarlett rubbed her chin, genuinely starting to entertain the idea of playing matchmaker for her and Silas.
Her peaceful life had been getting way too boring lately anyway. She needed some
entertainment.
When they arrived at the hotel, Scarlett continued to tail them like a shadow.
Vivian didn’t even spare her a glance. “If you want to sleep, book your own room. I don’t have the budget to cover you.”
