The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 93

Chapter 93

On the way back, Vivian was wondering why Simon hadn’t asked her where she wanted to go. Turning her head, she realized the car had already pulled into the hospital.

The old man had gone to great lengths to stage that drama, so naturally, they had to show him the results.

The hospital parking lot was right outside the inpatient building, very close.

Simon opened the door, and Silas straightened his jacket, preparing to get out.

Vivian’s eyes flickered. She got out from the other side, quickly walked up to the man, and naturally looped her arm through his.

“Let go.”

Vivian glanced sideways, her gaze landing on his prominent Adam’s apple.

She had to admit, every inch of this man’s physique was exquisite and alluring.

The corners of her lips curled up slightly. “What’s wrong with taking your arm? It’s not going to kill you.”

The man turned his head, his dark gaze almost level with hers. “I don’t like it.”

…Ouch.

He really didn’t hold back.

Vivian sighed softly. Glancing at Simon, who stood at a discreet distance, she lowered her voice. “That’s not what you said last night, Mr. Sterling. You slept with me, and now we’re married. Let alone linking arms, even kissing and sleeping together… shouldn’t be considered out of bounds.”

Her voice was unique, falling somewhere between authoritative and sweet. Stripped of emotion, it leaned toward a cool, detached tone.

Yet at this moment, her face was full of charm, gazing up at him with an expression brimming with reliance and adoration.

Paired with her stunningly beautiful face, she looked breathtaking.

Though Silas couldn’t see, the memory of her soft pants from last night inexplicably flashed through his mind, utterly captivating.

His deep eyes darkened a fraction.

“Vivian.”

“Yes?”

“Your twisted logic and unreasonable behavior won’t work on me. When I say no, I mean no. You’d better not use the same seductive tricks you used last night, or people will start questioning your true motives.”

Vivian’s breath hitched, and she pulled her hand back.

But a second later, she grabbed his collar and pulled him forward.

“Silas Sterling, I thought you were a cultured gentleman, but if you can say things like that to a woman in public, I guess you’re nothing special after all.”

“Cultured? What’s that?”

Silas let out an emotionless chuckle and pried her hand off his chest.

“I’ve never had any, so you’d better behave yourself and stop nagging me.”

He walked forward on his own, seemingly unconcerned that Vivian might turn around and run

away.

Vivian exhaled softly, a bright flame dancing in her eyes.

They went inside, taking the elevator straight to the top-floor VIP ward.

Even from a distance, they could hear the noise coming from the room. A group of old men had gathered together, aggressively playing video games and yelling about killing the

enemies.

Silas frowned and turned his head toward Simon’s direction.

“Is this what they call jumping off a building?”

Simon: “…”

He had no idea either!
