The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95

Silas let out a chuckle, but it was chilling to the bone.

“If you don’t believe me, you’re welcome to try and see if I won’t throw you into the river to feed the fishes.”

He didn’t even have to think to guess that this woman had definitely reached some sort of agreement with the old man.

What could it be? Nothing other than himself.

But for now, Silas was confident she wouldn’t be able to stir up any real trouble.

The marriage was done.

The old man should at least stay quiet for a while.

He dropped Vivian off at her place. As they arrived, she heard his cold, deep voice. “Pack your things. Simon will come pick you up this afternoon.”

Vivian’s brow twitched. “We’re living together?”

“Yes.”

After saying that, he fell silent.

Vivian watched their car drive away before heading upstairs, suddenly realizing her marriage

certificate was still in the car.

But it didn’t seem to matter; Simon would surely keep it safe when he saw it.

She didn’t have many belongings, just two suitcases of clothes.

Apart from that, there was only a white stuffed bear.

This doll had been with her for many years, but she kept it in such good condition it looked practically brand new.

Vivian rolled around on the sofa hugging the bear and said, “Congratulations, you’ve found a reliable sugar daddy.”

The spacious living room was silent, offering no response.

After messing around for a bit, she went to her room to take a shower.

Moving into a new home meant starting fresh.

Before coming over, Simon called to ask if she needed help.

“I’ve already finished packing. You can head over now.”

In less than twenty minutes, Simon appeared at her door.

Chapter 95

“Miss Fairchild.”

“Let’s go.”

Vivian took one last look at the apartment and closed the door.

On the way, Jonah Granger called, asking where she was.

“Dr. Granger, do I need to remind you again? Where I am has absolutely nothing to do with you.”

This time, Jonah didn’t even pause. He said in a low voice, “I know you’re throwing a tantrum, but enough is enough. Vivian, I really don’t have much patience.”

Vivian laughed out of anger. “Do you even hear what you’re saying?”

“I’m downstairs at your place.”

Oh my.

Good thing she ran fast.

Vivian hummed lazily. “If you like it there, feel free to sit a while longer. Or you can go up and sit by my door.”

Jonah probably realized she was talking nonsense. He took a deep breath and softened his tone. “Vivian, I know we’ve missed out on a lot, and there are many misunderstandings between us, but we can clear them up, right? Be a good girl, I’ll take you out for something

delicious.”

“Does Dr. Granger think I can’t even afford to eat without you?”

“That’s not what I meant. I just want to have dinner with you.”
