The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 96

Chapter 96
As Silas’s assistant, Simon was actually telling her this?
“Alright, got it.”
She paused, then added, “Thank you.”
Simon secretly breathed a sigh of relief, hoping Miss Fairchild really took it to heart. After all,
if the boss threw a fit, everyone around him would suffer, and he didn’t want to take the
blame for no reason.
They arrived at The Southwood Estate.
Simon helped carry her luggage inside.
“Well, Miss Fairchild… I have matters at the company, so I’ll be leaving now. If you need anything, just let me know.”
Vivian nodded and went inside.
There was a woman cleaning the living room, wearing headphones and oblivious to anyone
entering.
Vivian stood there for a moment, listening to the woman humming a tune, finding it quite
amusing.
As soon as Vivian moved, the woman turned around, startled, and quickly took off her headphones.
“M… Miss, hello.”
Mr. Sterling had told her beforehand, but hadn’t he said… tonight?
The woman felt a bit awkward, but the moment she looked up, she forgot everything.
This woman was incredibly beautiful…
With all her life’s vocabulary, she couldn’t come up with a single word of praise; if she had to, she’d say she looked like an angel.
Vivian smiled faintly.
She replied, “Hello.”
The previous awkwardness turned into shyness. Martha Gable wiped her hands on her apron. “Just call me Mrs. Gable. I’m in charge of cooking and cleaning here. Let me know if you need anything.”
“Alright.” Vivian glanced around. “Then could you please help me take my luggage to the
room?”

Martha didn’t expect to be bossed around so naturally. She paused before making a move.
However…
Sir had only said a woman was moving in, but didn’t mention their relationship. She was stuck on where to put the luggage.
Vivian followed behind, holding her bear.
Seeing Martha standing at the door, she basically guessed what was on her mind.
“Mrs. Gable, just leave them here. I’ll handle the rest.” She didn’t like others touching her personal items either.
Martha looked relieved. “Miss, then I’ll go back to cleaning downstairs.”
Once she left, Vivian began to seriously examine the layout of this floor.
The master bedroom was easy to find; it was straight ahead.
Next to it was a massive walk-in closet, filled with a uniform palette of black, white, and gray All of Silas’s suits and shirts were made of exquisite materials, looking like art pieces on
display.
She licked her lips, suddenly getting an idea.
An hour later-
Vivian took all the clothes out of her suitcases and hung them wherever there was space in
the closet.
Putting aside any OCD tendencies, if that man could tolerate this, he probably wouldn’t overreact to other things.
Most of the day had already passed. Vivian didn’t go to the company. After wrapping up work matters with Zoe Hunt, she went downstairs to cook with Mrs. Gable.
To be honest, it was a bit embarrassing.
Vivian was naturally good at everything, except cooking.
It was as if she was born to clash with the kitchen; every time she entered, both she and the kitchen ended up a disaster.
But today was different. Mrs. Gable was a master in the kitchen. Vivian only needed to help out, and she could claim part of the credit. Why not?
Hearing Vivian constantly asking questions, Mrs. Gable beamed with relief and blurted out, “You are so much more attentive to Mr. Sterling than that big celebrity!”
Vivian paused and looked up. “Are you saying… Grace Gifford has been here too?”
