The Stolen Heiress: The Billionaires’ Little Star novel Chapter 13

Chloe took off the small microphone and pried off the micro-camera, tossing them into a box before returning the call.

"Chloe, something happened! The moment that Sterling heir entered the village, he ran into Daisy. He moved into her house! What do we do?" Mayor Miller cried out frantically.

Chloe was stunned.

How could this happen?

Her face turned uncontrollably livid. "You couldn't even handle this little thing?"

She had been reborn; her life was supposed to be smooth sailing, conquering all obstacles. Everything Daisy had was supposed to naturally become hers!

If this were a novel, she would be the protagonist of a rebirth story!

Yet these useless family members only ever dragged her down.

"Chloe, what should we do?" Mayor Miller kept asking.

"Let me think." Chloe hung up the phone and opened Twitter, trying to find clips from the show to gauge the public's reaction.

She couldn't understand it. What kind of magic did Daisy possess? The biggest turning point in her life had clearly been rewritten.

Why? Why was the Sterling heir still actively approaching her?

But just then, a staff member knocked on the door. "Chloe! Chloe, are you okay? Why did your feed go offline?"

Chloe had no choice but to hide her phone, rub her eyes vigorously, and put her equipment back on.

When she opened the door, she revealed bloodshot eyes and whispered, "I'm sorry, I was just missing home."

The staff member's expression softened a bit. "Do you want to call your family?"

Chloe shook her head. "That wouldn't be good. My parents would think I'm being mistreated here. It's actually really nice here."

[Chloe is just so lovable.]

[+1. I wish I had a daughter like her.]

[Ahhh, when is Autumn coming home? Chloe prepared such a thoughtful gift for her!]

Chloe was also eager about her artwork, so she took the initiative to ask the butler if she could take a picture to send to Mrs. Sterling.

The butler nodded. "You may."

Autumn Sterling was currently inspecting her newly opened art gallery when her phone buzzed with a new message.

She tapped it open; it was from the butler.

"The little girl made this for you with her own hands. She is very much looking forward to you and Mr. Sterling returning home."

Autumn opened the full image.

She was a painter, a true artist. With just one glance, her brain instantly formulated a professional critique.

—Too mechanical, overly tacky.

Back at the house, Chloe looked up with an expectant, starry-eyed expression. "Mr. Butler, what did Mrs. Sterling say?"
