The Stolen Heiress: The Billionaires’ Little Star novel Chapter 22

While Daisy attended class, Xavier went ahead and commandeered Principal Higgins's office. The crew finally asked, unable to watch him idle any longer, "Aren't you going to do some volunteer work? Earn some points?"

"Earn points?" Xavier leaned back in the chair, the picture of relaxed indifference. "For what?"

"Don't you want... your phone back?"

"Nah." Xavier thought for a moment before adding, "Nothing fun on there anyway."

The crew was dumbfounded.

He didn't have a single ounce of motivation. How were they supposed to film this show?

Just then, the bell rang for recess. Xavier stood up, walked over to the window, and looked outside.

Suddenly, he pointed at a little girl on the playground and asked the crew, "What do you think of that hairstyle?"

The crew blinked. "Huh?"

"I've got something to do," Xavier declared.

With that, he pushed the door open and walked out.

The crew hastily followed him. This privileged heir wasn't about to go terrorize a little girl, was he?

Xavier didn't terrorize her. He simply walked up, crouched down, and stared intensely at the girl's head for a long time—until his piercing gaze made her cry.

He turned away without the slightest intention of comforting her. He just muttered coolly, "Tomorrow, I'm going to do Daisy's hair exactly like that. It'll look ridiculously cute on her."

The crew was speechless.

The live chat was instantly thrown into chaos:

[This is a reality show about trading lives! It's not a daughter-raising simulator, bro!]

"Daisy! Daisy!" A frantic voice approached. Even through the heavy local accent, Xavier could tell exactly who was being called.

Hearing her name, Daisy immediately rushed out of the classroom. Facing the sprinting woman, she called out, "Mrs. Manning!"

Mrs. Manning braced her hands on her knees, her heavy frame trembling slightly as she gasped for air. "Your... your pigs broke down the pen and ran into Silas Lowell's vegetable patch! If they keep running... you'll have to pay him for his crops..."

Daisy's tiny face instantly dropped, and she bolted toward the exit.

Xavier was still trying to process when the Lowell family had even gotten pigs.

Seeing Daisy sprinting out of the school gates, he worried that a kid her age might trip and hurt herself in her panic.

Xavier immediately took off after her.

The crew didn't dare fall behind, hoisting their cameras as they chased along.

The whole group tore down the road in a chaotic stampede.
