When the cameras were set back up, the audience realized the broadcast had returned to that familiar, dilapidated shack.
[Am I hallucinating, or did we just travel back in time?]
At that exact moment, Daisy was returning from picking wild berries. As she approached, she instantly spotted Xavier. Her mouth fell open in utter disbelief, her expression completely dazed.
For a split second, Daisy also thought she was hallucinating.
"Daisy, from today on, I'm living at your house," Xavier declared in a tone that brokered absolutely no arguments.
Daisy stared at him blankly and asked, "Why?"
Xavier felt a rush of frustration.
The Mayor's family had practically been ready to drop to their knees to beg him not to leave, yet this kid was actually asking him *why*?
He lied smoothly, "Because I gave you clothes and shoes. Don't you owe me a place to stay?"
Daisy instinctively nodded, then immediately shook her head. "Here... is bad. Living here is bad."
*I know it's bad,* Xavier thought. But an idea immediately popped into his head. "Then how about you come live somewhere else with me?"
Daisy shook her head even harder this time.
Xavier let out a defeated sigh. "Then I'm living at your house. That's it. End of discussion." He waved a hand, ordering the production crew to carry his luggage inside.
The comment section instantly erupted into a massive argument.
[Wow, playing hard to get!]
[How exactly did this kid manipulate Xavier into coming back? She's so young, but she's a total schemer.]
[The Mayor just took a massive L.]
[Um, this is literally breaking the rules of the show, thank you very much!]
[LMAO, are you okay? You think you can force Xavier to follow rules?]
Regardless of the intense debate in the chat, the luggage was already inside, and Xavier had one foot through the door.
