The Tough Girl and Her Beast King Lovers novel Chapter 3

Sebastian explained that this place was called the Beast Continent.

The continent was divided into six land regions and two seas.

The area they were in was the northwest region, known as Runeveil Forest.

Sebastian's home was the largest Fenfrost tribe in the forest.

Besides them, there were many other tribes too, like the Ignifox tribe, the Hornspire tribe, the Ironhorn tribe, and dozens of small and medium tribes.

The snowy area where Laurel lived was the far northern edge of Runeveil Forest, called the Wildborn North.

"Wildborn North is covered in snow all year," Sebastian said. "It's freezing, and the forest's edge is filled with poisonous fog. Dangerous beasts live there."

He traced the rough locations of Runeveil Forest and Wildborn North in the dirt with his finger.

"Only high-tier males above the Imperial Tier can enter the snowfields to hunt fierce beasts and collect spirit stones.

"Lower-tier males who get too close to the fog might be poisoned or badly injured ... or even die."

Laurel looked confused. "But I've lived here for a long time, and I've never seen any fierce beasts."

"That's because you live near the hot spring," Sebastian replied.

It turned out this hot spring was very special.

The land around it stayed warm like spring all year, with thick plants growing everywhere. The water also had a magical healing effect on wounds.

And the strong sulfur smell drove fierce beasts away, making this green patch the only peaceful place in Wildborn North.

That was why Laurel had been able to survive safely for over a month.

After understanding the basics, Laurel asked curiously, "Why do you hunt fierce beasts and collect spirit stones? What are they used for?"

Sebastian thought for a moment before answering. "All things in nature contain spiritual energy.

"And among them, the spirit stones inside fierce beasts hold the strongest power.

"Males can absorb that energy by consuming spirit stones, which helps them grow stronger and improve their abilities."

Laurel nodded slowly. "So ... are fierce beasts just wild beasts?"

Sebastian suddenly felt like he was teaching a child. He rubbed his forehead and explained carefully, "No. Fierce beasts are mutated creatures. Their spiritual energy is so strong that it forms a spirit stone in their forehead.

"Different colors of spirit stones represent different elemental powers.

"And spirit stones are extremely valuable. You can trade them for rare supplies."

Seeing her still thinking, he added, "Their rank and worth depend on their color and size."

Laurel finally understood. "So, spirit stones are basically the money of the beast world!"

Sebastian blinked. "That isn't wrong."

He really did use spirit stones like currency most of the time.

...

The two of them kept talking back and forth until late into the night.

Laurel listened happily, full of curiosity about this new world.

Meanwhile, Sebastian, acting like a walking encyclopedia, felt like he was about to turn into a prune from soaking too long.

Maybe because he was injured, the usually silent Sebastian was unusually patient tonight.

In his gentlest voice, he said, "Little female, could you let me get out first? I'm feeling dizzy."

"Oh! Sorry!" Laurel laughed awkwardly. "I forgot you were still in the water. Go ahead, get out."

She quickly stepped aside.

"Thanks for telling me so much. I won't stay mad about you messing up my hot spring anymore!"

Sebastian was speechless. This is a natural spring in the wilderness, how did it become hers?

His three deep wounds had stopped bleeding.

He stood up, shook the animal-hide cloth around his waist, and stepped onto the shore with his long legs.

Laurel stared at the tall man, well over six feet.

His body was strong and perfectly built. His wet white hair clung to his lean waist, and his muscles looked like something out of a fantasy poster.

She swallowed hard when she saw the water droplets slide down his skin.

Afraid her thoughts would run wild, she quickly changed the subject. "You must be hungry, right? I'll make you something to eat. Then can you tell me more fun stories about the beast world?"

Sebastian stared at her like she'd gone crazy. "Cook? You?"

"Of course!" Laurel puffed up proudly. "Don't underestimate me. My cooking is amazing! You won't be able to stop eating!"

She was confident because she had earned perfect scores in cooking classes back in the organization, and she had invented plenty of simple recipes during her month of survival.

Sebastian wasn't looking down on her. It was just that for males, hunting an animal and eating it directly was enough.

Cooking was usually something males did to please females. He had never heard of a female cooking herself.

Females were delicate and couldn't transform into beast form, so they couldn't eat raw meat.

Chapter 3 The Survival Rules 1

This little female looks like a wandering beastman, so where are her mate and family?

And that black scale she uses as a knife is huge and shines so brightly... That has to be a precious scale from a high-tier Frostfang male.

A giant serpent? A rare snake beast? It can't possibly be a Dragonkin, those creatures never appear.

But Frostfang males are cold and distant. Even their matriarchs can rarely make them give up such a precious scale.

This little female must be deeply cherished by some Frostfang male.

So why would he leave her alone in a place like this?

Wait.
