Rayne was still confused when more than ten of his die-hard fans left the group one by one.
Now he started to panic.

This group chat was only for his most devoted fans. Only fans who did stats for him every day and bought tons of merch could join.
These die-hard fans had stuck with him through thick and thin.
But now they were all leaving.
Rayne quickly typed a message. “Guys, why are you quitting the group?”
Usually, whenever he posted something in the chat, the fans would reply in seconds.
But this time, after several minutes, not a single person eplied. Instead, more people kept leaving.
Rayne realized something was really wrong and quickly messaged Pauline privately.
“Pauline, didn’t you guys go to find Venus today? What happened? Why are people leaving the group chat?”
Right after he hit send, a message popped up showing he had been blocked.
“What the hell?” Rayne couldn’t sit still and started pacing around the living room in a panic.

He tried messaging several more die-hard and big-spending fans, but he either got blocked or was totally ignored.
“What’s going on? Why is everyone shutting me out!”
Rayne grew more anxious, grabbed his car keys, and sped off to Pauline’s house.
Pauline wasn’t just his biggest fan-she was also one of his assistants. She usually handled the messages he didn’t want to deliver himself, like stirring up his fans for online wars.
“Pauline!” Rayne banged on the door.
After a few minutes, Pauline finally opened up. When she saw him, her face went pale, and she quickly tried to close the door again.
“What are you doing?” Rayne quickly wedged his foot in the door, pushing it back so she couldn’t close it.
Pauline was shaking all over, terrified. “Rayne, I… I quit I’m done!”
Rayne snapped impatiently. “How much did Venus payou guys?”
Just hea ng Venus’s name made Pauline even more nervous. Her face turned deathly pale as she mumbled, “I can’t do it anymore. I just can’t…”
Rayne frowned, looking her over.
Her hair was still wet, like she had just come out of the shower.

“Why do you smell so bad?” Rayne pinched his nose. “Whatever. What happened with Venus?”
Pauline burst into tears.
Rayne just looked at her, stunned.

He knew how fierce Pauline was-she was his number one battle fan. She’d once fought eight top fan groups in one night, earning her a reputation as a legend in the fandom world.
To this day, she was still one of the most feared figures among fans.
What could possibly make her so terrified?
Rayne couldn’t figure it out. He quickly asked, “What happened when you went to see Venus?”
Pauline clung to his shirt in terror. “Rayne, I’m done being your fan. I don’t love you anymore. Just stay away from me!”
“What?
“If you want to quit, at least give me a reason. What did Venus do to you?”
Pauline was shaking. “Ghosts… There are ghosts around Venus!”
Rayne rolled his eyes hard.
Seriously? Ghosts? She can’t even make up a better lie?

He brushed off Pauline’s hand, sneering, “There’s no such thing as ghosts. You can just say Venus paid you off to quit.
“Drop the act in front of me. It’s just embarrassing.”
Pauline glanced nervously behind him. When she saw nothing, she lowered her voice. “I’m not lying! There are real ghosts in Venus’s house, and they chased us out”
“Stop.” Rayne looked completely annoyed. “If you took her money, you’re no longer my real fan.
“I hate Venus more than anyone, and you all took her money and turned your backs on me. I don’t need fans like that!
“You don’t have to quit. You’re fired.”
Pauline looked at him sadly and finally just muttered, “Forget it. Don’t mess with Venus anymore. Just take care of yourself.”
Anyone who could live in a haunted house and hang out with ghosts was not someone she dared cross Avoiding her was the best option.
As for Rayne, if he wanted to dig his own grave, that was his problem.
Rayne stormed off and checked his phone when he got home.
