“Do you even know right from wrong anymore?” Neil’s voice was cold.

“Yes, Oliver caused the accident that killed someone. His family will compensate the victims generously. But that wasn’t an excuse for you to lead a group to beat him up.

“If you don’t go apologize, his family won’t let this go.

“I’m doing this for your own good,” he added sharply. “You need to apologize to him.”

His tone turned commanding. “Venus, their family is different than ours. They don’t forgive easily. I assured you, if you refuse, you can’t face the consequences.”

He had already promised Vienna that Venus would personally bow and beg for Oliver’s forgiveness.

Rowan, seeing Venus stand there in silence, thought she was too upset to speak and quickly stepped in.

“I heard the crowd got angry because of how smug and awful Oliver behaved after the crash. He brought it on himself! Ms. Burn is your sister! How can you make Her do that?”

He crossed his arms, muttering, “If you must punish her just skip her dinner or something.”

Neil’s face darkened, and he said coldly, “Dr. Hill, no one asked for your opinion. Stay out of this.

“She’s my sister. That’s exactly why I have to teach her a lesson. An outsider like you doesn’t get to interfere.”

Rowan clamped his mouth shut at this.

Venus finally spoke, her tone calm and distant. “Which room is Oliver in?”

Neil exhaled, relieved. He thought she’d finally agreed. “‘ll take you there.”

“Alright,” she said.

As they walked down the corridor, Neil kept lecturing her. “When you see Oliver, don’t argue. Just admit you were wrong. Keep apologizing until he forgives you Once he does, we can put this matter behind us.”

Rowan watched Venus from the corner of his eye. Her face never changed.

He had an odd feeling.

Venus doesn’t look like someone going to apologize. She walked tall and straight, with no hint of shame. She looked more like she was going to start trouble.

“This is going to be good!” Rowan pushed open the office door and called into the room. “Let’s go! We’re going together!”

Ava and her daughter hurried after them.

They stopped outside the private hospital ward.

Neil’s face was stern as he reminded, “Remember what told you. As soon as you go in, bow and apologize. Say nothing else.”

Venus smiled and made an OK sign with her hand.

Then she pushed the door open.

She shut it behind her and clicked the lock.

There weren’t many people in the room, just three.

Oliver sat there with a bruised, swollen face and his arm in a cast. Two servants were with him.

One servant was speaking to him. “Mr. Oliver, don’t worry about anything; just rest. The lawyer will handle it.”

Oliver sneered, his face still purple from the blows. “Why didn’t that bitch just die? She’s barely hanging on.

I bet she’ll come to us and scam a lot of our money. I won’t pay a dime. That bitch even wrecked my favorite car. She should pay for it with whatever she has left.”

Ava heard him and flew at Oliver, furious, ready to strangle him.

Venus grabbed her arm and held her back, signaling her not to do anything reckless.

Ava’s eyes burned with hatred. “That little brat killed my daughter, and he still gets to say that without a shred of guilt! He’s the one who deserves to die!”

“Who are you?” One of the servants asked in surprise when Venus walked in.

Venus ignored him. Her gaze swept around the hospital room and stopped on a basket of fruit.

Oliver struggled to open his swollen eyes. Just as he was about to yell at her to get out, the familiar scene replayed itself—

The fruit basket flew straight at his face.

“Arghhhh!” he screamed as the basket hit him squarely. Before he could react, the arm in a cast snapped again with a sharp crack.

“Arghhhh!

“Mr. Oliver!” The servant froze in shock.

“Idiots!” Oliver roared in pain. “Don’t just stand there! Get her!”

They tried to move, but their feet felt glued to the floor

They couldn’t take a single step,

All they could do was watch as Venus-calm, cold, and terrifying-grabbed the basket and smashed it down on Oliver over and over.
