Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 108 by Ansel Bick
Mathis's face was dark. "I'll let it slide this time. But if something like today happens again, I won't show any mercy."
Marcus Wilder agreed, then immediately sent a text to Milo: *[Don't mess with Mathis. He's a complete madman.]*
Milo's mouth twitched in anger. Bianca tried to pull him away, but Cynthia blocked their path.
"Bianca Baldwin, you have to apologize to us," Cynthia demanded. She didn't like confronting men, and she knew she couldn't afford to offend Milo anyway.
But making life difficult for the powerless Bianca was much easier. Besides, it wasn't like Mathis was going to help her.
Bianca glared at her. "Are you sure you don't need a referral to a neurologist?"
Cynthia refused to let it go. "If you don't get on your knees and apologize right now, Bianca, you aren't leaving."
Bianca spat back, "I'll kneel for your dead mother—oh wait. Your mother literally angered Cecilia York to death so she could steal her spot, and now you want to do the same to me. Let me tell you something: before I die, I will tear your entire family down. And that includes your son and your man."
Milo silently gave Bianca a thumbs-up. He had actually been worried she might be at a disadvantage, but he realized that as long as Mathis stayed out of the mud, she could hold her own.
Bianca shook off Cynthia's hand and walked away. Mathis hadn't said a single word the entire time. Humiliated, Cynthia threw herself into his arms, sobbing.
Mathis patted her back gently. "I'll get back at her for you next time. Our son is hungry, let's go eat first."
Whenever Mathis spoke to Cynthia, he was always gentle and accommodating—a stark contrast to the vicious, combative way he dealt with Bianca.
That was proof they simply weren't meant for each other. They were just a resentful pair, endlessly torturing one another.
Listening to them made Milo want to gag. He turned to Bianca. "I need to stop eating out lately. I'm tired of constantly running into filth."
And just like that, Harlowe stepped right into the role of the legitimate wife.
At the time, Neville was just a manager at Bianca's father's company. After his older brother passed away, Neville seized control of the business. Harlowe always prided herself on having 'good luck'. If Neville hadn't stolen AuraByte Technologies, she wouldn't be living the lavish life of a rich socialite now.
And Cynthia would have never had the chance to climb the social ladder and secure a top-tier billionaire heir like Mathis.
Forcing marriages was the family specialty.
Mathis replied without missing a beat, "I'm currently tied up with Aeterna Dynamics' IPO. Cynthia and I will discuss wedding plans once I'm less busy."
The Quinns were wealthy, but they were nothing compared to the Jagger family. Since Mathis phrased it that way, Harlowe didn't dare push the issue further.
Instead, she pressed, "And what do you plan to do about Bianca?"
