Summary for Chapter 107: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 107 by Ansel Bick

Bianca let out a thoroughly uncharitable laugh. Beatrice actually did suffer from vascular issues. Hitting people where it hurt truly was the most effective way to insult them.

Beatrice was so furious she nearly collapsed on the spot. She raised a hand to strike Milo, but the imposing bodyguards flanking him made it clear they were not people to be trifled with.

"You really want to hit me, old thing?" Milo taunted. "Watch yourself, or I'll throw you into the ocean to feed the fish."

*If we were overseas,* he thought to himself, *I'd bury your entire family for daring to bully the woman I love.*

The Quinn family stood there, their faces turning a sickly shade of green.

Worried he might actually act on his anger, Bianca pulled Milo away. "Don't argue with trash. It ruins the appetite."

"Agreed," Milo said. "What is wrong with Austin City lately? Noxious pests keep crawling out and getting in the way of decent human beings. And they always seem to spawn near my favorite restaurants. It's incredibly irritating."

Bianca couldn't help but laugh again. "Next time, we'll check the almanac before stepping out."

As they walked shoulder to shoulder, they ran into Mathis carrying Lamont. The striking resemblance between the two made Milo gape in shock.

"Wow," Milo clicked his tongue. "Mr. Jagger, your son looks exactly like you!" He turned to Bianca. "If you had my kid, they'd definitely look like me. I'm gorgeous, practically universally loved. My kid would easily outshine that one."

"Stop talking nonsense," Bianca chided him.

Hearing Milo's blatant provocation, Mathis's face didn't betray a single ripple of emotion. Acting as if he didn't know them at all, he carried his son straight past them to find Cynthia.

Milo was completely baffled by the display. He leaned down and asked Bianca, "Didn't he just spend the entire afternoon in your office? Why is he playing the 'we're strangers' card now? Is he a goldfish? Does he only have a three-second memory?"

Mathis's brow furrowed slightly. "Mr. Wilder, Cynthia is my woman. Watch your phrasing." His gaze swept over Milo and Bianca like a blade. "This is your final warning. Do not provoke people you cannot afford to offend."

The smug satisfaction on Cynthia's face was practically overflowing. She knew it. Mathis would always protect her unconditionally.

Refusing to back down, Milo planted his hands on his lean hips. "I provoked you. So what? What exactly are you going to do about it? I've never been afraid of anyone in Austin City."

Mathis calmly pulled out his phone and made a call, his posture completely relaxed. "Mr. Wilder, if you'd like your company's stock to completely tank, then by all means, let your son keep running his mouth."

Everyone in the industry knew about the time Mathis had deliberately crashed Dawnstar Capital's stock. Back then, he hadn't been back in the country for long, and his funds were limited. Now, with his immense capital, crushing a publicly traded company would be effortless for him.

On the other end of the line, Marcus Wilder practically tripped over himself apologizing. "I am so sorry, Mr. Jagger. My son speaks without thinking. Please, don't take it to heart."
