Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 117 by Ansel Bick
Technically, since Mathis mistakenly believed she had cheated on him, they should have been rushing toward a divorce.
He wouldn't even need Cynthia to pressure him anymore.
But it had been hours since last night, and Mathis hadn't made a single move. No divorce papers had been sent. Bianca couldn't figure out what was going through his head.
Whatever, she would proceed with the plan. The sooner this nightmare marriage was over, the better.
"Okay, go ahead with it," Bianca said. "I'll make it up to you properly another time."
Milo laughed through the phone. "Getting a divorce is the best thank-you I could ask for. I can't stand Mathis trying to keep a wife and a mistress at the same time. The guy is psycho."
Bianca nodded. "He definitely has issues."
During her lunch break, Bianca updated Xanthe on everything that had happened the night before.
Xanthe was entirely scandalized. "Mathis tore your clothes off? I thought he was obsessed with his little mistress! Why the hell did he go looking for you?"
"He probably thought I was into Milo," Bianca guessed. "He's insanely possessive. He can't handle the thought of me betraying him."
Xanthe pondered it. "He thought you cheated on him, and he hasn't retaliated yet?"
Bianca suspected it was the calm before the storm. "He's probably brewing something. He rushed back, so I'm striking first by leaking our marriage. If push comes to shove, I'll use it as leverage to negotiate. I'll just say the spark is gone and he and Cynthia are true love."
Xanthe let out a long sigh. "It is incredibly depressing that you, the actual wife, have to step aside for the mistress."
"Hopefully it'll be the last time I ever have to deal with it," Bianca murmured. "Knowing Mathis, there is no way he can stomach me cuckolding him."
"Let's pray you finally secure this divorce!" Xanthe cheered.
At 2 PM, Mathis's flight took off exactly on schedule. Milo's team instantly went to work.
He had planned it flawlessly. The internet was supposed to be flooded with photos of Bianca and Mathis's marriage certificate.
Bianca was well aware of how terrifying Mathis was.
During the brutal succession war within his family, if he had been even slightly incompetent, he would never have been able to oust the other Jagger branches and his own father to claim the throne.
A man like him operated on an entirely different level of intellect and wealth.
"Forget it. I accept my fate. Let him play whatever games he wants."
Perhaps Mathis would hand her the divorce papers on his own.
At 4:30 PM, Mathis's flight landed. The second he turned off airplane mode, Zane called.
"Mr. Jagger, exactly as you predicted, the Madam made her move while you were in the air. We contained the post completely. No one knows about your relationship."
"Understood," Mathis replied coldly.
