Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 119 by Ansel Bick
Bianca really liked her junior from university and replied warmly, "Not at all. It's perfect—tomorrow we can all go to the airport together to pick up my senior. He's also from Kingsbridge University."
Hailey happily linked arms with Bianca and hopped into her car.
"This is amazing! Tomorrow we can all go pick up Cillian together."
Back at their university, anyone in their major envied Professor Walter Adler's students. Everyone he mentored went on to become an industry titan.
When they arrived at the apartment, Mathis, watching through the camera feed from Kingsbridge City, stiffened.
How did they know each other? Why were they together?
There was only one explanation: Simon.
It clicked instantly in Mathis's head. He finally realized who had been helping Bianca hide her grandmother.
What shocked him was that Simon had actually helped her.
He combed through the past three years. Other than discussing her medical condition, Bianca and Simon hadn't so much as shared a meal.
Simon was famously aloof and arrogant. Why on earth would he go out of his way to help Bianca?
Did she beg him?
Even if she had, Simon wasn't exactly known for his boundless empathy.
Mathis's fingers curled into tight fists.
He desperately hoped there was no romantic involvement between them.
His mind spun out of control. Unable to sit still, he immediately called Quincy. "Investigate every property owned by Simon and Hailey Jennings. See if my wife's grandmother is hiding in any of them."
Quincy's brain nearly short-circuited trying to comprehend why Mathis was issuing such an absurd order, but as an employee, all he could do was execute it.
The Jennings siblings owned numerous properties, making it a complicated search that wouldn't yield immediate results.
Just as Mathis was about to return to monitoring Bianca's feed, his phone rang. It was Cynthia.
"Mathis," she said, her voice dripping with affection. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming back? I would have picked you up at the airport."
Milo hadn't gone abroad for the October long weekend. Hearing that the founder of Stellaride Computing was arriving, he wanted to meet Cillian and assess whether the man was a potential rival.
He drove to Bianca's apartment building and insisted that she and Hailey ride in his car to the airport.
Looking at his towering height—he was practically as tall as a Mercedes G-Class—Bianca couldn't help but marvel, "Are you sure you're from the south? How are you this tall?"
He was wearing a fitted, short-sleeved shirt that subtly showed off his abs, and his incredibly long legs were impossible to ignore.
Bianca seriously suspected he was peacocking.
"Born and raised!" Milo replied smoothly.
Hailey smiled. "You're really handsome! Hi, I'm Hailey."
Milo put on a completely serious face. "I am currently the frontrunner to be Bianca's boyfriend, so please don't fall for my good looks. I'm Milo Wilder."
Bianca rolled her eyes. "Stop talking nonsense. You ran your mouth the day before yesterday, and yesterday that lunatic showed up at my house throwing a tantrum."
