Mathis gave a bitter smile. "I'm human too. I have feelings and desires."

Theodore rarely saw such an expression on his grandson's face. He almost doubted his own eyes.

Letting out a long sigh, Theodore felt truly sorry that Mathis and Bianca weren't meant to be.

"Since you've decided to divorce her, don't shortchange the girl," Theodore warned. "Given her capabilities, making an enemy out of her will do you no good. You've been ruthless all these years and made far too many enemies. The woman sharing your bed is incredibly smart. Just because she can't deal with you now doesn't mean she won't be able to in the future."

Mathis nodded. "I know. I'll give her what she's owed."

As Theodore stood up, Mathis stepped forward to support him. "What are your plans for the mother and son outside?" the old man asked.

"Everything stays as is."

Theodore was surprised. "You're not going to marry her?"

"We'll talk about it later."

The Jagger family's holiday traditions simply involved a family dinner, followed by moon-viewing and eating pastries in the garden.

It was nowhere near as lively as the Wilder household.

But with Cynthia's flashy personality, even if she couldn't post pictures of the estate itself, she made sure to snap photos of the luxurious dishes and their "perfect" family of three.

She subtly made sure the rare red sandalwood furniture and the Patek Philippe Grand Complications watch on Mathis's wrist made it into the frame, eager to flex her elevated status.

She had gathered quite a few fans online who shipped her and Mathis. The moment the photo dropped, her comments section exploded.

Hardly anyone knew about Mathis's brain tumor.

"He fell for a pretty face," Neville said. "Aside from her looks, Bianca has absolutely nothing. Mathis's true love is our daughter. Aeterna Dynamics has only been established for a month, yet he's already leveraging Dawnstar Capital's resources to flood them with orders. I've seen Aeterna's roadmap. Mathis is orchestrating massive cooperative frameworks and joint tech ventures. With him at the helm, Aeterna will be listed on the Harbor City Stock Exchange in no time."

Harlowe frowned in confusion. "Neville, why can't we have Mathis take our AuraByte Technologies public like that?"

Neville glared at her. "Don't ask such brainless questions. As long as Cynthia has Mathis backing her, our family's wealth is guaranteed to skyrocket."

A vicious glint flashed in Harlowe's eyes. "Should we trick Bianca into going abroad and just get rid of her? It would save Mathis the trouble of dealing with her."

Neville slammed his glass down onto the table. "You think I haven't considered that? Bianca won't step foot outside the country. Her passport has already been confiscated."
